(Sung to the tune of On Top Of Old Smoky or On Top of Spaghetti)
On top of Mt. St. Helens,
All covered in flames,
My poor little sweetheart
Shan't come home again.
We were on a hike
To see the blue sky,
And I left my poor sweetheart
To sizzle and fry.
When the mountain erupted,
I ran like a deer,
Leaving my sweetheart
To bring up the rear.
When I got to my pickup,
The lava had struck,
Leaving my sweetheart
Unfortunately stuck.
I'll never forget,
That terrible day,
When I was a bad guy,
And left my sweetheart to (moment of silence) diiee.
