Last Friday I began having a mild sore throat until Sunday when it got unbearable. My glands were swollen shut, my neck was sore, had a headache, fever, and white puss and blotches all over my tonsils so Monday morning I went to the doctor. A rapid strep test came back negative but she was pretty sure it was still Strep throat and told me to take 10 days worth of Amoxicillian. Well, today (Friday, a week later) I have lost the fever and headache but my throat is still just as bad. It does not hurt as much but still looks absolutely nasty inside. The swelling hasnt went down much at all. I also got blood work today for mono and 2 other things. My doctor said the 2 other lab tests came in stating that my inflamation levels were elevated (obviously!) but the mono test would not come back untill next week. Generaly I do not feel all that tired or run down. Could this truly be strep throat or is it possible it's mono? I have never heard of strep throat lasting this long. Help please.

I was called a hypocrit for going to church (Even thought its UU and has plently of people who share my pagan faith) and all sorts of wonderful things.
I know its stupid, and maybe I am just senstive today, but how can people say some of these things???

i'd like to breed her with another snake with vivid colors for a few people in a club and a pet store but i love my snake a lot and she has never bitten anyone and she's really sweet and social because i hold her a lot and take care of her cage. i dont want to put a male in her tank with her if it'll upset her or make her grumpy. if i let her have a roomate, would she be any less friendly or change at all really?

PRAY FOR BABY KALEB ~~ KEEP THIS MOVING!


Kristy Reynolds and her husband are parents to a beautiful little baby boy named Kaleb. He is 6 months and 3 days old. A couple weeks ago Kristy picked Kaleb up from home care and noticed something was wrong. She immediately took him to the hospital where he was diagnosed with Shaken Baby Syndrome. He now has meningitis in response the the surgeries on his brain, his body can't regulate his temperature, his heart rate drops every time he is moved, and he has seizures. He is also blind. His sitter shook him so hard that he is in a coma, had to have spinal fluid drained from his brain, and doctors think that if he lives he will be a vegetable for the rest of his life. Brain scans show that his brain tissue is dying and his brain is shrinking. Kristy and her husband refuse this diagnosis and pray for their little boy. I'm asking you to join them in this prayer for Kaleb.

I'm dating a man in his early 50's who has never been married. We've been together a little over a year. It's been hard sometimes because he is used to his own space, his own bed, etc.. and adjusting to having me there has been difficult for him at times. He knows he is like this, and for the most part he does try to make me feel comfortable.. but is there any thing I can do to make him feel at ease without making him feel like I'm invading his space? I'm not a pushy person, I don't invade his space, but as his girlfriend, I want to feel comfortable at his place. I love stock car racing, but I've been thinking more and more that I dislike what NASCAR has become. Here's my top 5 dislikes of the series:
1. The absence of a clearly defined rulebook with clearly defined penalties.
2. The lucky dog.
3. The top 35 in owners points.
4. The entire chase concept.
5. Phantom debris.

I'm still a NASCAR fan, but growing more and more frustrated with it each year.
