First off, while I do not support this Immigration Bill, NOWHERE in it does it say ONE WORD about amnesty to the 12-20 Million Illegal immigrants in the US right now. What it basically says is, if you want to be a US citizen you have to go back to your own country and start the process THERE, you have to learn English and you have to tak eUS civics classes. You will be expected to pay out around $9000 over time to apply for citizenship. It will take, on average, 13 years to become a legal citizen. To become a documented worker, all that applies but the fees and the wait time are less.
Rounding up and deporting millions of people will cost this country BILLIONS of dollars we dont have. Not to mention the fact, who is going to fill all those low paying jobs vacated by your departing millions? Do you LIKE clean silverware and plates at your favorite restaurant? Do you LIKE lettuce in your salads? Good, we'll need you to spend a month helping pick lettuce in Salinas, CA. Then strawberries. When youre done there, we have some dishwashing for you. Either that or the price for these items quadruples or more, until farmers and restaurants pay enough to hire LEGAL workers.
War in Iraq? Illegal, based on lies, bring our kids home now, NOT ONE MORE DEAD KID TO ENSURE DEMOCRACY IN IRAQ. If they arent ready to take over by now, they never will be. We train complete drooling teenaged idiots to be killing machines in 90 days. Iraq has had FOUR YEARS. Theyre not motivated. It makes me physcially ill our kids are being blown apart while Iraq's "leaders" fidget and fight about Oil revenues and never come to any agreements, day after day, while our kids bleed. ENOUGH.

The majority of the Illegal inmigrants that are here in the US are hard working decent people. Their only crime (if you can call it that) was coming here "Illegal". A lot of people keep talking about how they don't pay taxes. Well, if they are working in a factory or another buissness that requires some form of a Social security Card, most of the time they are fake. Their employer still takes out the taxes weather it is a valid card or not. A lot of these workers don't file their taxes at the end of the year, therefore they don't get a tax refund check. What happens to that money? The government gets to keep it.
Also, I hear people say, "Oh they send all their money back to >>>>>>(where ever)." Do they not realize that they also pay rent, pay a water bill, a light bill, buy food, buy cars, etc. Does that money not go into our economy?
Also, if these people could afford to pay for their residency legally with the INS, they would not need to be here working.
It is very EXPENSIVE to file the paper work for your residency. If the government would lower the price on a legal visit to the US more of them would be legalized.
I think we should give everyone who is willing to work hard and be a decent honest person a chance to live in the USA. Isn't that why the Country was founded? If your options were as follows: Watch your family starve because there is no work in your home land or swim across a river "Illegally" to feed your family, what would you do? Sit there and watch your children starve? I think not. Walk a mile in an "Illegals" shoes and see life through their eyes.

Mr. Kyl isn't asserting who he's working for. I wager that's no longer for the yankee voters, then who's he working for. i think of he ought to respond to this question first till now he start up speaking approximately something that should do with unlawful immigration. I additionally think of that if the regulations that now we've at the instant are not being enforce, what assure us that when the amnesty bill is bypass that the regulations which will look after the U. S. voters and our borders are going to be enforce. the place and what funds are they going to apply as a manner to do the back floor examine that he so proudly suggested. What touching directly to the billions and billions of greenbacks that are desire it as a manner to tackle over 12 + tens of millions of unlawful immigrants and the households that they are going to convey in a while. permit him answer all of our questions and then consistent with danger we could communicate approximately amnesty.

I'm opposed to the immigration bill. Great thought was put into it to not only cut the required fence in half and lower border patrol officer required numbers, but to portray it disingenuously as 'strengthening the border'. There was a caveat or exception for basically every enforcement provision, and many of them simply didn't even apply to those from 'contiguous nations' which is odd since more of our illegal immigration comes from Mexico than from all other countries put together.
The problems illegal immigration is causing Americans, with failing schools closing hospitals and drained services needs to be the biggest priority driving the bill, with other factors in it only to the extent compatible with the overriding factor. However, the interests of the American people weren't even represented in the gang of 12. It was all big business and immigrant groups.
I think we need to get out of Iraq or require the government to meet benchmarks, but I think our ultimate options will be determined by actions on the ground, unfortunately.

I oppose the "War" in Iraq because the Constitution states that the President needs a declaration of war from Congress in order to have a war and we don't have this therefore the "war" in Iraq is illegal.
I oppose any type of amnesty for Illegal aliens because it is rather stupid to have our Military Personnel fighting and dying to fight terrorism and yet let anyone to come in to the country with out any kind of control. Furthermore put your self in the position of an immigrant who has done it legally, they have paid a lot of money and spent a lot of time getting in to this country then you have thousands of people flooding over the borders and getting all the benefits with no sacrifice this is fair how?

My sister in law is an immigrant from Argentina, came here and became a citizen legally, the same goes for several of my co-workers who come from all over the world.Passing this bill would be a smack in their faces to say the least. All of the time and money they spent to become a citizen would be for nothing. If you want to become an American Citizen you have to work at it.In no way should we just start handing out get out of jail free cards to those who aren't willing to go the extra mile to be here legally.

Immigration bill is not amnesty; but it includes provisions to bring in more low wage white collar workers to drive down American wages. It is a bill for business not for immigrants.
War in Iraq - was wrong from the start, we need to be out of there.

I think the immigration reform bill was a big mistake because it would allow even criminals amnesty, would do nothing to protect our borders, and the cost to taxpayers would be enormous. I think the Democrats who supported it wanted new voters and the Republicans who supported it did it for businesses that want cheap labor.
I am for continuing with the plan we now have for Iraq.
