I am researching Medieval imagery and symbols. I have found the images of the Blacke Toade, and other references to owls, armour and fruit, but I would like to hear of other Medieval images/symbols with an explanation of what they represent and the contexts in which they were used.

Friends sometimes say they've 'accidentally' thrown away the more fashionably-questionable of their partners' clothes, so that he does not embarrass them by wearing dodgy things like Hawaiian shirts in public. How do people, especially the men, feel about this? Are they grateful for their women's guidance or do they resent being told what to wear? Is it OK to say 'honey, please don't wear a pinstripe jacket with trainers' or whatever or should one love one's partner regardless of his fashion sense?

my friend told me how 4 of his family members looked through his family tree(at different times), they were all 40 yrs old, this hapened over the space of ten yrs, he told me how each of the four members of his family would not speak of what they read/saw in the family tree but each one aged dramatic & went into ill health within 1 year of researching the FT....hes confused as to why none of his family will mention what they found, he wants me to do the research for him as hes afraid that there might be a curse in the readings...iam not supersticious but this is kind of freaking me out & i DONT want to do it, hes reaching 40yrs old & seems to be getting more obsesed by this....ive told him i dont want to do it but he says iam the only one who can help him......how the hell can i get out of this..

my other half has been staying down his parents because his grandad died last week all ive done is be nasty we have 3 children so ive got to stay at home so im unable to go the funeral but now ive got it in to my head what if one of his ex gf is there and they start getting cosy what if he doesnt come home because ive been so nasty he has got alot to deal with has he is carring the coffin all the other granchildren have gone with there partners and i havent what must they think of me i dont feel like family

I know micro evolution is true, we see it every day. But what bothers me is macro evolution. It seems very odd to me that we (all organisms) evolved from a common ancestor. I believe in Creation, as it seems more likely and I am a Christian.

Every day in the world around us real-life angels are doing things they do and bringing more smiles to the world around them.
Real-life angels build bridges instead of walls,they dont have hidden agenda's they tend to be the only ones who understand what you're going through. If they sense that you're hurting they do whatever they can to help you.Real-life angels understand difficulties and always give the benefit of the doubt.They dont hold others up to standards they cant live by themselves.They are what "inner beauty" is all about.
They dont hold things against you,the only thing they hold is you.They take you're hand in theirs when you need some reassurance,they walk beside you when you need some guidance in you're life,and they support you in you're attempts to do what is right.
If someone in you're life is like an angel to you its important to thank them for the blessing.
