If Putin's concern that Bush's interceptor-missile system in Eastern Europe is honest, then why doesn't Putin suggest to Bush:

"Mr. Bush, Why don't you install the system in Georgia or Azerbaijan, which actually borders Iran itself, and aim it towards Iran!??"

I know that Putin does not approve of NATO presence on former Soviet territory, BUT if it is true, that the interceptor-missile program is aimed in reality at Russia, and that Iran is just a pretext and excuse, then wouldn't it be brilliant of Putin (to make an exception in this case "in the name of global security, in solidarity with the West") to thwart the whole purpose of this multi-billion dollar system by having it actually point away from Russia!!

And if Bush actually REFUSES to install the system in either Georgia or Azerbaijan (but aiming away from Russia itself) then it would actually put Bush in an awkward situation because then it would really suggest that the whole point of the system is to confront Russia!

So, if Putin makes this compromise to Bush, it would put Russia in a position to win either way, and at the same time back Bush into a corner politically.

I have over 500 paperbacks (dated in the last 2 years) and some hardbacks that I want to get rid of (redo-ing my "reading room"). They are all in great condition. I don't want to deal with selling them individual on an auction site, and was wondering if there was a site like powells.com or cash4books.net that deals with non-textbooks.

Postage went up again by another 2 cents. Last time was only 3 yrs ago? I didn't hear one whimper of protest from anyone. My thought on this is that people were focused on the increasing price of gas.

What's the lowest price postage you recall for a first-class letter? I recall 1968 at 4 cents.

I personally don't see justification for going to 41 cents, legally, uncontested, without any competition (outside of Federal Express, Airborne, UPS & others who do a variation of mail distribution) to speak of. I've heard of the USPS stopping a little boy from distributing mail by bicycle in his hometown for cheaper rate.

Is the postage rate getting out of hand - in your opinion - or do you feel it is acceptable to raise every so many years - without vote by the American people?

Historically, I know the Pony Express took 7-10 days (did take 23-30 days before that). So, it is a finely tuned business now, we can not deny. But another rate increase?

I need a quilting ruler but theres so many to choose from. I only need it to help me cut straighter lines...Im on a solo mission so what brand and where to get it would be awsome.
Oh and what do you prefer to mark fabric with and why?? Im useing fabric pencils now just wondering if theres something better out there.

My son-in-law just graduated from grad school and has started a new job that requires him to wear a dress shirt & tie to work every day. The problem is, he wears such an unusual size that the only dress shirts he has been able to find are costing him $90+ each. Just starting out, it's tough on their budget to say the least. He wears a 15 1/2" neck with a 17" sleeve...yes, very tall and slender. Does anyone know of a online store that sells good quality men's wear in this size? Please don't suggest having them specially-made by a tailor, they looked into that and it is even more expensive.Thanks for any help.

I notice my arms tremble/shake when lifting weights or trying to balance myself on one arm or so. why is this? is there too much weight on my hands? (I have small hands/arms/height cause I was a premi baby) and why when lifting weights with my left hand, it feels as though nothing is happening? (I'm right handed)
