I have over 500 paperbacks (dated in the last 2 years) and some hardbacks that I want to get rid of (redo-ing my "reading room"). They are all in great condition. I don't want to deal with selling them individual on an auction site, and was wondering if there was a site like powells.com or cash4books.net that deals with non-textbooks.

I would rather go to one website and have them buy from me. I don't really have the time to deal with individual purchases, but would rather deal with sending them to a used book "dealer"...

donate them, or take them to a used book store... There aren't too many options... really. Also depends on where you live.. Try Half-Price Books, or a smaller privately owned store. Most private stores won't 'pay' you money for non-collectable paperbacks. (unless they're EXTREMELY new, -no reprints either) They'll be more like to give you trade credit. Half-Price will at least buy them for the paper/recycle value...
Unless you're willing to sell the entire lot on ebay, in one auction, you're better off giving them away. good luck

My kinfolk and that i purchase used books on line each and all of the time! I in many cases get textbooks from Craigslist and different books from Amazon. The extra cutting-edge the textbooks are the extra effectual, despite in the event that they nevertheless will possibly no longer sell until August/September whilst people flow returned to college. additionally, the main i've got spent on a used textbook is $20. the different books will sell for even much less. in the event that they are in some form of set (interior the comparable series, via the comparable author, or via the comparable writer) sell them as a set and you will get a extra effectual fee for them. so which you will no longer make hundreds of thousands or something, yet I nevertheless say flow forward and sell them. it incredibly is not lots of hardship and you will make a pair greenbacks.

Instead of selling them, why not consider donating some of them to www.booksforsoldiers.com? The men and women in Iraq and Afghanastan love getting books to read and they pass them around. A lot of people who need it would be getting pleasure out of your used books. Pax - C

you can sell books on amazon.com at a set rate or whatever. it is much like ebay but the buyer doesn't bid. they just buy for whatever price you set and ship it to them. there is a rating system in place where you can rate the condition of the book (mint, like new, normal wear etc.) i have bought and have been happy my experiences.
