I know this is determined by States but the Fed said any state that did not set at 21 would get $0 in Fed funds..so they bullied the States to do it.

Now I know the obvious reason is that people need to be mature to drink responsibly....but since the majority of drunk drivers are 21+ years old what makes 21 better than 18?

18 gives you right to vote, be drafted, sign up for armed services, marry, go to maximum security prison, be executed, buy+smoke cigerettes....but not drink...isn't that odd?
Now if they reduced the age yes there would be an increase in drinking deaths but only in short term. But pro or anti reasons aside here is my question:

My question is why 21? What makes 21 better than 18? Why not 25? Why not 42? What is supposed to have happened in the 3 years that makes you able to drink legally now?

In Kansas traffic circles are starting to pop up all over the place and I hear nothing but complaints about them. I have even seen a multitude of complaints on here in discussions about England. If Americans would learn to use them, ie use turn signals to exit, then I think they would appreciate them.

Think about it, a four way stop means you have to come to a complete stop. This means that any momentum you build up is completely lost. With a traffic circle you can immediately enter if you time it correctly and exit without ever stopping. On some traffic circles I can do it without ever braking.

Brakes only waste gas. When you use your brakes you are wasting gas. A traffic circle is a gas saver.

I've been told that there are some fish that Beta fish can be placed in a tank with, and they won't attempt to kill one another. Is this true? I have 2 beta's and I know they can't be placed in the same tank, they have separate bowls. I think they are beautiful fish, I just wish I could include them with other fish. Is it possible? If so, what kinds are considered non-aggressive to the Beta and vice-versa?

"According to a new New York Times/CBS News poll, only 16% of Americans think the government is telling the truth about 9/11:
"Do you think members of the Bush Administration are telling the truth, are mostly telling the truth but hiding something, or are they mostly lying?
Telling the truth 16%
Hiding something 53%
Mostly lying 28%
Not sure 3%"
The 16% are probably a waste of energy: if they still believe the official story, then they are unlikely to change their minds based on facts. (If you have the patience to never give up, then more power to you).
The 28% who say "mostly lying" are probably already 9/11 truthers. They may, however, simply believe that the government LET 9/11 happen on purpose, without understanding that 9/11 could not have succeeded unless elements within the government had actively ASSISTED in the attacks. So you might want to discuss some of the facts regarding the war games and the Mineta testimony, for example.

Seriously...

I write fiction and horror, but I like to be realistic. I do my research, but sometimes I like to bounce an idea or concept I have around here. A few weeks ago, I asked a question in "Physics", I started to read an answer and after a paragraph, I realized, this sounds really familiar??? Turns out it was an article I had read copied word for word from Wikipedia which wasn't that great to begin with! The person who posted it was a "TOP CONTRIBUTOR" in "Physics!"

What's up with that!

Your inputs, please? funny or serious...

Are you tired of getting thumbs down just because you like a modern band?

Are you tired of people saying "emo sucks" and "go listen to some real music?"

Are you tired of having to read these comments everytime you come in this section?

Don't you think it's sad that random people who don't know me waste their time talking about me and saying my taste in music is crap thinking I care? Don't you think it's ridiculous to be mad at someone you don't even know?

Also, people have said I don't know anything about music. If I didn't know anything about music, then why would I be the top answerer in Rock & Pop with 136 best answers? Why would I be a top contributor in Rock & Pop and General - Music?

If you think something should be done about this, then please answer all question thoroughly and truthfully. I think Yahoo! Answers is going to have to split Rock into "Classic Rock" and "Modern Rock."

Thank you!
