I have a cousin who is well-educated (in terms of university education and such) but she acts as if the world revolves around her and she's better than everyone else. I mean, judging from the way she talks about others compared to herself, she does not sound like a very open-minded or smart person. I think that being educated doesn't just have to do with book smarts, but also being able to adapt to other people around you. What's her problem (and other people like her)?

I have seven rummys (used to be eight) in a 10gal. quarentine w/ a female betta.

Water quality is good: 6.6pH, Oppm ammonia, 0ppm nitrite, 20ppm nitrate, 79 degrees.

I awoke this morning and looked in on them all and one of the rummys was floating, both of it's eyes eaten clear through it's head, fins totally intact, nothing else chewed or nipped...
Now - is this the female betta's doing - 1. killing and eating the eyes - 2. or did she just kill it while the rummys ate the eyes - 3. or did the rummys kill it and she ate the eyes?

I watched their behaviors while they were together (she's in a breed and show internal hang on as of now) and the rummys seemed more intrigued by her than she by them. In other words there appeared to be no issue...

Maybe this particular rummy was on his way out anyhow (because it showed no sign of being aggressed), and its death led to the opprotunity for feeding.

Ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Wisdom teeth. Wisdom teeth, are teeth in the back of your mouth. They do not fit, in most cases, as I'm sure most of you are aware. Science, will say the teeth were needed for early man to chew raw meat etc, and our mouths simply got smaller, as we started eating less...difficult things. Evo-loo-shun. Now, I pitch to you this; If God created humans, in the form we currently are, why would he create imperfect people, who actually NEEDED to have a piece of their body removed at a certain point? You would think the all-knowing, all-powerful God would have noticed he added a few too many teeth for the mouth. Any explanations? Just curious.

I have a souvenir that is made out of bamboo. It is a cut of a big bamboo about 4 inches in diameter/1 foot long and green. There are nice carvings on the outside surface of palm leaves, and lettering. There is also a cut slit in it. Unfortunately, it will turn yellow soon. Any serious ideas is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I want to transform my body and am open to any ideas. I usually ride a recumbent bike, use a treadmill at home. Don't have any weights. I eat pretty healthy, but have an addiction to sugar and carbs (like most people or hormonal women). I know about weight gain associated with gain of muscle and I haven't experienced that problem. Let me know what you do, or what you KNOW works. If you can, attach websites?

Just for fun! What's your favorite traditional hymn and what's your favorite contemporary Christian song? My favorite traditional hymn is "Old Rugged Cross" and my favorite contemporary Christian song is "Three Wooden Crosses" by Randy Travis.

I'm sure that this question is going to get lots of "bogus" answers, but any real answers would be great!
God bless

Hi!
I'm not the sort of person who recites all those complex mantras(hymns). This is one thing for which I've invited criticism from lots of people.Do u really become a Hindu, eligible for salvation, only if you recite the mantras?

Now before I say anything I am not for slavery whatsoever anywhere but I did some research and found that Noah had three sons who were the father of three races Ham who was the father of the African race, Shem who was the father of the Asain races, and one who's name I can't remember (if you know please remind me) but was father of the caucasain race now there was an incedent in the bible (not going to go into details but it is in Genisis just after the flood) where Ham brought shame unto Noah but his other brothers did not. Noah then prayed to curse his son Ham along with all of his descendents and said he would be a servent unto his brothers. God then did what Noah asked. so my question is, was slavery biblical? where we doing God's work?

Once again I am not nor have I ever been for slavery but this research turned up some odd results.

Unlike Islam for example. It was spread by the sword very often down through the centuries, following the example of its leadership. Islam's prophets were men of war from the beginning. The opposite of Christianity, whose founders preached love.
