Unlike Islam for example. It was spread by the sword very often down through the centuries, following the example of its leadership. Islam's prophets were men of war from the beginning. The opposite of Christianity, whose founders preached love.

AJ - You need to consider the context. These people were experiencing God appearing to them and leading them miraculously. So your forming a negative opinion about something you don't even understand. Is that wise?

But atheists do that all the time, I'm use to it.

nondescript - You might want to try trusting God, while recognizing that your perspective, shall we say, is kinda small compared to God's.

What example? Jesus never set one. All the stuff about Jesus was written decades after Jesus died, if he existed at all. And the "lessons" were all ones to follow. The Gospels promoted leaving your family stranded while you followed the church. It also has an insane promotion of scapegoating. I'm sorry, but sacrificing the innocent on behalf of the guilty is wrong. It doesn't matter if they do it voluntarily or not, though the accounts differ on whether it was. And there are enough vague claims and contradictions in the Bible, that nobody can really be said to "obey" all of it.

Or as Jesus says:

Matthew 10:33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.
10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.
10:37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.

In other words 'follow me or die'.

So if you call yourself something, you have to follow it to the "T"? John McCain calls himself a Republican, but he's awful lot like a Democrat. Heck, he sold out America along with the Democrats to the illegal aliens.
Muslims who don't kill in the name of religion aren't "real" Islams then? Your question is asinine at best and just another excuse to continue persecution of the Christians.
Once you perfectly follow every law and every tenet of your faith, come back and attack others on their beliefs.

The Bible also preaches against religious tolerance:

Deuteronomy 13:6-10
If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, which is as thine own soul, entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which thou hast not known, thou, nor thy fathers; Namely, of the gods of the people which are round about you, nigh unto thee, or far off from thee, from the one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth; Thou shalt not consent unto him, nor hearken unto him; neither shall thine eye pity him, neither shalt thou spare, neither shalt thou conceal him: But thou shalt surely kill him; thine hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people. And thou shalt stone him with stones, that he die.

2 Chronicles 15:13
Whosoever would not seek the LORD God of Israel should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.
