i can't understand why some people, mostly religious ones, have no respect for Atheism... people have the right to have their own opinions...other people should respect that... why is atheism disliked so much!?

My friend Samantha (Sam) commited suicide 2 months ago from today. No one knew she was even depressed, nevermind being suicidal. She was very pretty & had the best personality & sense of humor I've ever seen (& i'm not saying that because she's gone, I said that to everyone when she was alive) Sam was very close to our friend Eric. Eric really cared about her too (more then his other friends, it was obvious) Eric took it the hardest & still is, he does't leave his house anymore. After the funeral Eric told us that Sam & him had 2 conversations where she would cry & tell him that she couldn't picture a future & didn't want one & how she lost the drive to live, I believe a qoute was "it lost the spark". Eric talked her out of it as best he could, when he threatened to call the cops/ her parents, she said it would only make things worse. So he didn't. There wasn't one problem that she couldnt work out or anything, it was life in general that she hated.

Help- I was the maid of honor at my best friends wedding last week. When she was about to say I do, and the church was quiet, I let out a loud fart in my taffeta dress. Everyone stared, and I wanted to just die cause everybody heard it. Even the groom, so after when it was the reception, I looked in my underwear and it was a smear of feces that erupted all over the back of the dress too- Do I give the dress back? or blame it on food poidoning? I am so mortified, i do not know what to do. What is the etiqueette here??????

Some experts have said that Iran is anywhere from 2-5 years away from developing nuclear weapons.

Recently a department of the U.N. said that they could have then anywhere from 3 to 10 years.

Sounds like they could have them before this decade is over.

Will Israel stop them? If so, how? Will the U.S. do anything?

Hey there - I react violently (allergy wise) to freeze-dried bloodworms - but I'd still like to give the boys a special treat every once in a while....since its that time of the year here, would it be alright to scoop some mosquito wigglers out of some of the ponds here and feed them those?
Are they close enough to bloodworms?
Or should I stick to giving them cheddar?
(they get a pin head every week)

while chatting I click to a malicious link and the one who send it could do any and everything in my network... I reformatted all the computers and that seem to work but only for a while, I never knew how he did it but I reformatted them again and now I have Zone alarm, Spy Sweeper, Spybot, AVG and System Mechanic 7 is it safe to have all those programs and would that help? thank you I really appreciate any help.

Please include an explanation with some level of detail.(Not an entire essay, but at least offer some reason for your opinion, even if its as simple as "thats how I was raised." Please try to use reasonably good grammar; spell check doesn't take that long, and a quick proofreading for other mistakes isn't going to slow you down that much.

Also, I ask that you avoid using stereotypes, and avoid providing insulting or spammy answers.

I personally believe that the book of Genesis was meant to be read figuratively, and that the stories in it are basically parables, designed to teach humans important lessons about life and sin. I believe this as I find most of the events described to be unlikely and illogical. Despite the fact that the bible is Gods book, it was written by humans, and natural human bias and traditions such as myths have undoubtedly played a part in its creation.
