Help- I was the maid of honor at my best friends wedding last week. When she was about to say I do, and the church was quiet, I let out a loud fart in my taffeta dress. Everyone stared, and I wanted to just die cause everybody heard it. Even the groom, so after when it was the reception, I looked in my underwear and it was a smear of feces that erupted all over the back of the dress too- Do I give the dress back? or blame it on food poidoning? I am so mortified, i do not know what to do. What is the etiqueette here??????

Take the dress to the drycleaners!!! Try to get the stain off and write a thoughtful letter saying sorry of interrupting in such inappropiate way at the ceremony. If the stain is permanent pay the dress in full. Don't lie that's the worst you can do.
Remember to laugh about it if someone -other than the bride/groom- brings the subject up. It's better to laugh than to be laughed at.

give the dress back to whom? Usually maids of honor PURCHASE their own dress.....
I find this all quite hard to believe.
have it dry cleaned and see a doctor.
