Interesting question... A Caravel is an old sailing vessel from the 1400's (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caravel) usually built by adding planks to a frame... not the sort of thing usually made from "household items".

However, I'd suggest using pictures from the wikipedia article, and build the hull using stacks of cardboard (like a layer-cake). You could then smooth the hull with strips of starch-soaked brown paper.

The two masts could be chopsticks, cooking skewers, or other such sticks, and sails of typing paper or paper towels.

You've put forth an interesting project !! Good Luck !!

Back Door Man - The Doors Kitchen Person - The Associates Fly On The Wall - XTC (well, no point in it being too clean) Let There Be More Light - Pink Floyd Across The Kitchen Table - Pale Fountains Living On The Ceiling - Blancmange Single Bed - Fox Throw in a few Inspiral Carpets and you're sorted. And outside: Garden - The Groundhogs just avoid: Burning Down The House - Talking Heads

Well... When we build Our House (Crosby Stills Nash & Young), the first thing we need to think of is location. I'm thinking that a "House by The Sea" (Iron & Wine) would be nice. To build it, we will definitely need a "House Carpenter" (Bob Dylan), but "If I Were A Carpenter" (Johnny Cash), we might not have to hire one. It might be nice to have some "Grey Stables" (Iron & Wine) too. The "Home" (Marc Broussard) itself could be "Made Of Stone" (The Stone Roses). And then of course we'd need to "Paint" (Soul Coughing) it. We'd paint it "Any Colour You Like" (Pink Floyd). So maybe we could "Paint It Black" (The Rolling Stones), or we could make it a "Pink House" (John Mellencamp). We should have lots of "Windows" (Guster), because we'd need "Just A Little Light" (Grateful Dead). "Landscaping" (Inside) is also important. We should plant a "Fruit Tree" (Nick Drake), and maybe some "Flowers In The Window" (Travis), and a "Trampled Rose" (Tom Waits) or two.
