Some experts have said that Iran is anywhere from 2-5 years away from developing nuclear weapons.
Recently a department of the U.N. said that they could have then anywhere from 3 to 10 years.
Sounds like they could have them before this decade is over.
Will Israel stop them? If so, how? Will the U.S. do anything?

Of course not! The United States and Israel will not stand for Iran to be the next WW2 Germany. Israel and the U.S. both have one hell of an army, and they aren't afraid to unleash it. I would not be surprised at all if the U.S. and Israel launched a combine attack on Iran in the next 2 years. And besides with Iran supplying Hamas with weapons, Israel will be even more hostile and aggressive towards Iran. The U.S. will back up Israel on pretty much any matter because the U.S. needs and wants a friend in the middle east. So if Israel goes to war with Iran expect the U.S. to go to.

from a military perspective their is little Israel can do to attack Iran, short of nuclear war (which will not happen).
As for the United States it dose not look like its in a diplomatic and political position to do much about Iran either.
The best both can hope for is that they can encourage a revolt of the current government in Iran, or that Iran backs down from this nuclear standoff.

The propaganda out there is that the people of Iran want to build a bomb and defend themselves and the government stand is they want to have a nuclear reactor to power the nation. They are defiant and nothing pisses of our government more than someone wanting to protect their society and defend it unless we are involved and are calling the shots. They have rights as a sovereign nation to have the same defense as Pakistan, India, Israel, Russia, ETC. We are not going to stand for it and it is stupid because the US will not be diplomatic. We are not going to offer humanitarian aid we are going to blow them up and then pay for years to rebuild the nation we just could have left alone.
