Why can't they understand sometimes good people make mistakes?

He no longer believes that Jesus is the Son of God. I'm just trying to understand him better, he's going to be my brother when he marries my little sister. He "used" to practice Christianity.

I would like honest answers from Muslims, Christians, believers of any faith. What's your opinion? What's up with this?

Truth be told (maybe he's just telling me what he thinks I want to hear. I just love the TRUTH.) I have never heard a "non-Christian" talk so much about Jesus.

Oh, yes and by the way, we all have talked about the "unequally yoked" thing. That's another day, another question.

Religion guides some people's lives.
In extreme cases, it makes them do awful things to other people.
In more moderate cases, it may make them try to pass laws based on personal dogma, which have ramifications on every member of society.
Religion has, at one point or another, been used to justify murder, torture, slavery, etc...
Based on this, do you feel that we should be questioning people's faith? Do you think it's important that we do so?
She we be having more public discourse on why people strap bombs to themselves in the name of their god?

I just started on this new birth control loestrin 20, and started the pack the first day of my period. I am right now on my non taking pills ( I am assuming that this would be when my period would come in) anyway, will I get my period on Tuesday when I start taking the pills again? Any info would be great. (I am 22 and have never taken Birth Contol before)

If I say "We have to be finished with everything by 5pm. Is it grammatically incorrect to say "We have to be finished everything by 5pm." ? Is this one of those used but not exactly in the rules things? What is the rule exactly.

I was watching this show on Discovery channel, and well it said that if an asteroid or comet or something from space hit us, it could wipe out nearly all life on Earth again. So, the scientists there were arguing about what kind of defense would be appropiate to save the world. I am not stupid but I do mispell words. I use spell check,but it doesn't always correct the spelling. I asked a question yesterday and I mispelled a word and spell check accepted it so I thought it was right. One very rude person had to point out my mistake. Why do people do this? Don't they know they hurt peoples feelings? Or is that why they do it? I miss spelled troops.

My sister, her husband, and their two kids all live with my mother. My mother takes care of the kids while my sister and her husband work. My mother has no life outside of my sister and her family, and in some ways this has affected my relationship with my mother. She is hardly ever available to speak or hang out with me and does not even have her own bedroom! She shares a room with one of the kids.
While I was in college and even a little after, my mother and my sister's husband were the only ones working (my sister did not work and I was living with my now husband). Then my mother lost her job (because she was so tired from taking care of my sister's kids, she would over sleep). My mother eventually dropped out of life. They were on the verge of losing their place when my sister finally stepped up and got a job. Now, my mother does not work, but she takes care of the kids full time. She has no life of her own. I blame my sister for the state of things.

..........ie PEOPLE WHO ACTUALLY LIVED AT THE SAME TIME AS JESUS. Josephus and Tacitus are often cited as non biblical accounts of Jesus but the obvious problem is that they wrote well after Jesus' supposed death and those accounts were based on third and fourth hand accounts. There is also considerable doubt among historians about the validity of Josephus' account .

I am looking for sources written at the time of Jesus by real witnesses to the supposed events. The Romans were famous for keeping meticulous records of events in the empire. Surely if a guy was going around raising people from the dead and turning water into wine, this would be heavily documented ?

As I said I am looking for links to the actual text of these contemporary accounts not just references to supposed accounts.......... of which I've gotten many...... never with links to the actual text itself though.Thanks.

I've asked this before and not one person has been able to provide me with these accounts.
