you know how people say everyone God made is special and that he put them on earth for a purpose, well is it possible that maybe God doesn't really want some of us, like that we could be a mistake or something, we are here on this earth but we have no purpose? cuz i feel like i have no purpose all my friends seem to have a purpose and doing things for God but i seem to not be able ot get it right, i feel like God doesn't want me or something, or like im just useless. :(

Curious if anyone has ever had a scar removed via laser, etc?? I have a scar from an accident during childhood. It is above my right eye and goes up into my hairline. I try to keep my hair a little longer to help hide it.

I don't know what to do with this. My niece got hold of a book of my son's (it was a teenage advice book and tips for teenagers). Well at one page it had a drawing of a naked man and my niece came to me and started asking me what the "thing" was. I was shocked so I tried to take the book away from her but she won't let me have it. If I try to take it away from her she will start crying.

I don't know how to grab this book away from her, somehow I think she is way too young for the book!! Please give me some advice!

I have two common goldfish (1 male, over 1 year, about 2 inchs.) and (1 female, 6 years, about 3 1/2 inchs) which I just got on Saturday from a friend. They are in a 10 gallon tank right now. I also have a 6 gallon tank which a male Betta is in now.

Questions:

1. I need a new filter, what are the best ones for a 10 gallon tank??? I think my tank needs more oxygen.

2. When doing a water change, how much should I do (15% - 30%) and how often???

3. If there is poo that I can get from the tank, should I take it out??? It's floating on the top.

4. How do I do water changes, seriously???

5. When doing a water change for my goldfishies can I place the goldfishes in the 6 gallon tank (which the Betta is in right now) and move the Betta to a smaller tank temporarily???
Basically, will it be okay to put the goldfishes in Betta fish tank water???

6. Should I remove and clean some of the gravel then return it???

OK, I have been trying to think of ONE good argument for abortion, and keep coming up empty. Maybe someone here can help me out. Of course, all of the following arguments assume the woman was not raped, and that her life is not being threatened by having the baby. However, I have seen statistics showing that rape victims are only 1% of all abortions, so ending 99% of abortions would be OK with me.

1. A woman should be able to do what she wants with her body.
-Of COURSE she should! No one is telling her not to get plastic surgery, or a tattoo. However, once she decides to have sex, and get pregnant, she has ANOTHER body growing inside of her. It is no longer her body, it is her child’s body, and she should not be able to end its life any more than a mother can kill her 3 year old.

2. People are going to do it anyway, so we might as well make it legal, and safe.
-Well, people smoke crack, and it’s illegal. People rape, people murder, people steal, and those are all illegal. Should we legalize all of those, too?

3. These are new times. Making abortion illegal brings us back to a time where women had no rights.
-Wrong. Abortion gives a woman MORE rights than a man. She has the right to kill the child, whether the man agrees or not. In order for us to be equal, men should also be allowed to abort the baby, even if against the mother’s wishes. This, of course, is absurd, and so is the argument.

4. You can’t force them to be pregnant if they don’t want to be.
-Please. If you don’t want to get pregnant, don’t have sex. I think even animals have figured this one out, but yet humans just can’t slip their mind around it. Do women just think that a “baby fairy” makes them pregnant? I may not know everything, but I know it is VERY hard to get pregnant without having sex.

I’m not close-minded, and I have changed my mind on many subjects. I may even change my mind on this one, if I could ever hear a good argument. But none so far. So, are there ANY good arguments for abortion?

My doctor gave me pamplets on cistic fibrosis, down syndrome, and trisomy 18 and wants to know whether I want to do these optional tests. I don't know whether I should do them or not. My insurance doesn't cover them and I have no genetic illnesses in my family. But if I need them then I definately want to do them. I don't even know how they perform the tests. Is there any risk to the baby?

I am going to be married to a man that I love with all of my heart...but he is muslim. I come from a very strong christain family. My wedding is drawing near and I have put off sending my invitations as much as I can but I don't know if I should invite my family. His family is muslim and both are very strong in their beliefs. If I invite his family mine will be angry at me forever and if I invite his instead they could disown him forever. The Gifts of the Holy Spirit is speaking in tongues, interpretations, discernment of spirits, prophesying, healing & faith, faith, as recorded in Corinthians. The Holy Spirit is the same spirit and the gifts are different."

I was raised a Southern Baptist and was taught that speaking in tongues was not of God....of course, I was also taught that Mormons, Catholics, JW's, Jews and many other religious denominations are all going to hell.

Speaking in tongues is somewhat Biblical...but, it seems odd to me...If God were to speak to people...wouldn't he do so in a way that everyone could understand...rather than have someone say gibberish, and then need someone else to interpret? Isn't the person speaking in tongues, somewhat drawing attention to themselves, by being a spectacle... rather than drawing attention to God? Your thoughts.
