No - that is not true. All people are loved and wanted by God and he has a purpose for everyone including you. Don't let the devil decieve you into thinking you are not important to God.

I've totally felt that way--I was a mistake by human terms--but you're definitely wrong! I can tell you without ever having met you that you are valuable to God and have a purpose. Hey, and I can even give you a little test that will help you make sure you still have a purpose, help you to be sure God's not done with you yet. Ready for the test? Ok, so the next time you are doubting you have a purpose and you feel like you don't get anything right, I want you to try this:
1. Close your eyes.
2. Breathe.

Did it work? Can you breathe? Then God is not through with you yet. Congratulations, you have a purpose! Oh, God may not have chosen to reveal it to you yet, but it's definitely there. Seriously, you are more wanted and loved by the Creator of the universe than you could ever, ever imagine. You are so not a mistake. It sounds cheesy, but hear these words (spoken by David--at the time, he probably wondered whether he had a purpose, too, and look at how valuable he was to God!):
For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them. (Psalm 139:13-16)

God thinks you're wonderful. Believe it because it's true. The Creator of the entire world and universe is absolutely, totally, completely, unbelievably in love with you!

Let's cut to the chase so you can relax a little bit:

Your purpose is to find your purpose. I'm not making this up. For the time being, let your purpose be identified by discovery with each passing moment. You've communicated a question on Yahoo. What was the purpose? Would it surprise you to know that the purpose actually served may be different from the one you had in mind? Your Yahoo question, for example, may really hit home with people you don't even know, and change their lives because they think of themselves differently. Can't deny that, can you?

The "purpose" question may be answered as a collective result of many experiences over time -and it may change.

Meanwhile, you might ask yourself, "Am I having fun, yet?" Again, I'm not kidding. A moral lesson of the Book of Genesis (whether or not you take it "literally") is that God put everything here, then put us here and gave it all to us for our joy and happiness. He told us to take control of it and use it. We are SUPPOSED to be happy. So, mentally put yourself in your own private Eden, and understand that your purpose -however it may be played out in terms of what you DO, is to be at peace with yourself and the world God gave you.

It is also an early lesson that we screwed it up by taking the fruit of the tree of knowledge. The world was for ever changed when that happened. So, today, we need to tease out what remains of Eden -and what may be traced to that serpent in the tree. Now THERE'S your basic purpose!

Whatever the case may be, your purpose (mine's -everyone's) is less about reaching some goal or plateau -and more about what we're doing at this very moment; for, no matter how high your ideals or visions may be -it all comes down to right NOW.

And try not to beat up on the Almighty too much -the business about maybe He made a mistake. For whatever God's purpose or design may or may not be, let it rest with him. Whatever the answer is in terms of your part -it is just that -uniquely YOURS. And whatever you discover, you are loved.

THAT'S the message. Now go out and enjoy your life.

You do have a purpose- remember that God does not create anything without a reason and a purpose. God is making a way for you to live in that purpose. God chose you long before the foundations of this world, to live at this very moment in history to accomplish what He has placed you here for. Start with the idea that your main purpose is the glorify God. Maybe you are not doing "big" things for God right now, but that does not matter- what matters is that you stay faithful to Him and He will direct you. Have you made a commitment to Christ- that comes before you live out your purpose. God is not a father that abandons His children- remember that!!

The thought that you are useless is a lie from the pit of Hell. If you've been led to believe that from your own conclusions or by the observations of others, your thought process is wrong and others are wrong.

You are no accident. You were created on purpose, with a purpose, for a purpose. You have abilities and desires that are specific to your purpose. Find counsel in someone who can help you prayerfully discover your purpose and toss out all the garbage about not having purpose or being useless.

You are useful and full of purpose!!

u sound like a lost young one. You won't find your purpose on earth at a young age. You don't need to have a purpose for "God" your purpose can just be to try and make the world a better place. Treat people nicely, help your community and what not.

A lot of people have answered this question rather well, I think I'll just add my simple way of looking at things.... You just have to remember that God's ways are not our ways.. we cannot ever hope to understand God's mind until we die. We may never know what God's purpose for us is, but rest assured, there most definitely is one. My friend Mary, who is like, really Holy-with-a capital-H says that God made us to worship him and that is all. My other friend who is very knowledgeable about these things, when I asked him your exact question about 10 years ago, said, of course God has a purpose for you, but it might be something that only someone who is 30 can do... what he meant was that God has a purpose for me but it might be later on in life and I would have to wait. My advice to you, is to simply do as God commands us to do, after that, all you can do is wait for God's plan to be revealed...

you are loved by God, no matter what. And yes, everyone is created by God and therefore special and unique. It may often seem to you that you have no purpose and that you are not special. Many people experience this. They see those around them who seem more fortunate, more loved, more powerful, and they feel lesser. I have felt this many times. Yet this could actually mean that you have an even deeper, more unique purpose in this world. In any case, you are loved by God and you are special. That is a fact of your creation.

God makes no mistakes, just because you have yet to find your purpose, doesnt mean He doesnt have one for you.

"A single thread in a tapestry,
Tho its colour brightly shines
Can never see its purpose,
In the pattern of the grand design.

And the stone that sits on the very top,
Of the mountains mighty face,
Doesnt think its more important
Than the stones that form the base

So how can you see what your life is worth
By wealth or strength or size?
You must look at your life
Through heaven's eyes!"

Hope those lyrics have some meaning for you.

God Bless

Here is your purpose and every other human beings purpose on the earth. Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the father, and of the son, and of the holy ghost: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and lo I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. matt 28:19-20

and Pure religion and undefiled before God and the father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep yourself unspotted from the world. james 1:27

and finally Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: "Fear God and keep his commandments for this is the whole duty of man" for God shall bring every work into judgement, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evilEcclesiastes 12:13,14

God cannot lie Hebrews 6:18 states that it is immpossible for God to lie and he also stated that he loves you and he did not lie he gave you his only begotten son

Oh don't feel like that. You make your own purpose in life. So do your friends, they just had an easier time finding one and that’s okay. I don't believe in a god of any kind. I certainly don't think you are any kind of reject. How old are you (this isn't meant to be insulting)? I'm just asking because if you are young, you know a lot of young people feel that way. It's naturally. I bet you'll figure out a purpose eventually.
