Well i use the contraceptive implant, i hear its 100% effective, however it obviously doesn't protect against STD's so you may need to use condoms too, but in a long term relationship if both of you has been checked out, i've found its great.
It goes in your arm, some people claim to have side effects, but i havent had any, maybe a bit of weight gain, or maybe thats just all the pies ive been eating.

each person is different and while some people get on well with the pill, some don't!
some men hate wearing condoms, while some are happy to.
some women are happy to go and get a more permanent contraceptive fitted (coil) personally I am too embarassed!
i you don't have any health problems, preventing you,
you may prefer the injection or implant, you need to do some research.

ie that Plus condoms.

If you are a teen, NOT having sex is the best way to prevent an unwanted pregnancy, STD, and other diseases. There is never a need to "rush" into sex.
If you're older, condoms work the best when used regularly and for her, of course, the birth control pill.

Talk to your doctor about what's best for you. As for my boyfriend and I, I like how we've been approaching it so far. I'm on the patch. We use condoms. And he's had a vascectomy. I'd rather have overkill than not enough protection.

You talk to your doctor. They will ask about your physical health and the amount of sexual activity you have and some other things that go into deciding what is best. Good luck and God Bless.

I would say not having sex, but that's unrealistic if your asking this question.
I'm on the depo injection, which is 99.9% effective, and of course always use condoms. Try asking your local family planning clinic.
Good luck
