Among other End of the World hints, such as the Mayan calendar ending in 2012, and other prophecies it seems that the Prophecy of the Popes listed this Pope 111 De Gloria Olivae which means "glory of the olive", and the Pope chose Benedict has his papal name and Saint Benedict is directly connected to the Olivites and olive.

After 111 it is said the "n extreme persecution, the seat of the Holy Roman Church will be occupied by Peter the Roman, who will feed the sheep through many tribulations; when they are over, the city of seven hills will be destroyed, and the terrible or fearsome Judge will judge his people. The End"

But most believe this prophecy was added at a later date, and 111 is the last Pope (current).

It seems many "End of the world prophecies", even those made hundreds of years ago, are converging in this age. Is it just because they foresaw this time as passing 2000 years and could not forsee us survivng so long, or is there something to it?

What is the most efficient way to walk up steps under your own power? By efficient I mean creating the least stress on the knee and least muscle exertion. I assume no use of hand rails or walking devices. I have had knee surgery, and have "discovered" two ways of walking up steps. One is the "normal" (plant and lift). The other I couldn't describe, but it has to do with more hinge-ing motion in the knee, and feels less strenuous. This is why I ask the question in these terms. I should think robotics researchers might have considered this, as well as physical therapists.

My fiance and I are registering for our wedding, but we are not sure whether it is "proper" to register for furniture. We haven't seen it listed on any registry checklists, but it is the main thing we need. Of course, we registered for other items, so there will be plenty of options for everyones price range. The furniture is rather inexpensive for furniture but still expensive for a wedding gift (ranging from $50 to $350). According to the stores registry completion discount, my fiance and I will recieve a 20% discount on any unpurchased items for a year after the wedding. I do not expect anyone to purchase these items by themselves, but I know that sometimes people buy group gifts. We would like to take advantage of that discount, considering that we want the furniture regardless of the registry. I'm just worried that some catty family members (from both sides) will see $250 or $350 items and make a fuss over it. Is registering for furniture proper? What should I do???

The real traditional term is "Glass Ceiling." Changing from glass to marble is juuuusssttt a TAD bit arrogant don't you think? Elected persons in the house AND the senate (as well as the president for that matter) seem to have such superiority complexes these days. You really need to rub shoulders with your real constituents and not be such an elitist.
