The real traditional term is "Glass Ceiling." Changing from glass to marble is juuuusssttt a TAD bit arrogant don't you think? Elected persons in the house AND the senate (as well as the president for that matter) seem to have such superiority complexes these days. You really need to rub shoulders with your real constituents and not be such an elitist.

No because you can't see through marble.

It's the 'Glass' Ceiling because you can see your promotion through it, but you can't reach it.

Maybe Swarovski Crystal?

I got the impression when she said that, she was saying that the 'ceiling' was harder or more difficult to break through than glass. Glass shatters pretty easily. So, it was an issue of how difficult it was to break through it?
