I have a 99 CBR 600 F4 with 13k miles. I recently bought it used, and after riding it today (mostly freeway) I have calculated it is getting 37 MPG. Isn't that low? Anyone else have figures for their 600 sport bikes I can compare that too?

If it is low, any idea why? There is a K&N air filter in the bike and a carbon fiber slip on exhuast, but the carbs were not recalibrated after those changes. I suspect the bike is running lean. Does that explain the low MPG?

I have a newer car that is a stick shift and Ive been having problems with the car. I was driving to work one day and it started to get harder and harder to put into gear. So I tried the pump the pedal about a million times to see if it would be easier to put into gear. It didn't work so I ruled out the master cylinder. So I think its the slave cylinder but now im not so sure because now that I got it home there is no pressure on the pedal and it sticks to the floor. I can pull it back up so now Im confused is it the slave or the master cylinder?

my mother died from cervical cancer and last year my doctor found some cells on my cervix. i am 29 weeks pregnant and a yeast infection ruptured a fetal membrane to the extent that i had to be hospitilized for 5 days mostly for observation. i got pregnant out of the fear that i may not be able to have children and now his recent hopsitilization just made me even more fearful. how do i deal with this?

Given that our bodies as we have them today are not exactly the same as what we had as children or even last week, and that cells are continuously being created and destroyed, what is the maximum age that a part of our body could be right now?

Or to put it in a different way, what is the oldest part of our body?

I'm guessing that bones dont change much, but maybe they do! Its easy to think of ourselves as unchanging, but since our hair is only as old as our last haircut + how many weeks it took to grow that much, maybe the same is true of our entire body!?!?!

Today,my family and I ordered some lunch from McDonalds and we got it to go through the drive thru. Our order was very simple and easy we ordered 7 double cheeseburgers plain,and two orders of french fries. Long story short is that when we got home ALL of our burgers had pickles,ketchup,and mustard on them.

Well,we ate our lunch and for dinner tonight,my husband went to go heat up one of the burgers and there was a huge bite taken out of the burger and it was the ONLY burger that was plain and didn't have anything on it. We have saved it for evidence so I can call the district manager at our local McDonalds on Monday morning.

Here is my question,would you also call the health department to let them know that the employees are tampering with customers food too? I know for a fact that none of us took a bite out of the burger because we were gone for the rest of the day and we were all together. What would you do if you found out that somebody had tampered with your food?

What is the most important play to make if softball? Should you always try to get batter/runner out at first above all? Or should you try to stop an advancing runner from 3rd going home before worrying about getting the batter/runner out? Say you have R1 on 3rd, and a batter, shortstop stops the ball, should they throw to 1st to get runner out, or throw home to get advancing baserunner out at home?
