About 2 weeks ago, I went to hang out with two friends of mine along with my best friend. I stayed totally sober that night b/c I knew she was going to drink and I knew she'd get messed up, so it was up to me to take care of her. We were playing high & low...she lost & had too much to drink. More than she could take &ended up suffering from a 2-day hangover. While she was vomiting & falling over that night, I took care of her. Whenever I'd leave, she'd cry. I was afraid to leave her b/c she isn't the most rational drunk person. While I had my back toward her, she slashed her wrist 9times with a knife but didn't go through. I cleaned & bandaged her up. She told me she did it b/c she was afraid I'd leave her. I told her to go to sleep. I set her on the couch. She passed out a couple of times & I had to keep 1 hand on her wrist and the other on her neck to make sure she still had a pulse. She was crying and begging to me to not let her go to sleep b/c she would die...what's wrong w/ her?

Besides seeing a doc, what works to help relieve stress? I've always been an anxious, stressed out person. I get over whelmed very easily, worry about little things too much, and it all leads to me being stressed out. I have a stressful job and home life is stressful too. I hate taking being stressed out on my family, so I need to try something to eliminate it. Are there certain vitamins out there? Exercise helps a little, but not too much. Any advice or suggestions would be great.

i met a man that became a friend of mine. we'd watch football together and all...and he is a JW.
And after knowing him for a while he called me and said he cannot be my friend anymore, because the elder says im not a sheperd of the JW flock..
What made him feel that way? to me it sounds such like a mind controlling religion....
please help me understand actually why he cant be my buddy? Why do JW people cannot be a part of this world of having different friends and all??
i miss my buddy so my feelings are hurt....

I commonly find myself using Wikipedia to look up information but how reliabe is it? Wikipedia is written collaboratively by volunteers; its articles can be edited by anyone with access to the Internet. It is basically a bunch of people's knowledge that is collected for other people to use as a refrence. Should our kids be using thes type of materials as reference for something like a research paper vs. a good old encyclopedia? Tell me what you think?

P.S. How ironic that I am asking this on a website that people use to get answers to their questions..... lol

Did he give them language? They already knew all the words they would need? Did he give them skill at walking and those kinds of things? Did he pre-program their muscle tone so they'd be able to stand?

How about socialization? We humans take years of learning how to interact with others. How did Adam and Eve know?
