Besides seeing a doc, what works to help relieve stress? I've always been an anxious, stressed out person. I get over whelmed very easily, worry about little things too much, and it all leads to me being stressed out. I have a stressful job and home life is stressful too. I hate taking being stressed out on my family, so I need to try something to eliminate it. Are there certain vitamins out there? Exercise helps a little, but not too much. Any advice or suggestions would be great.

when im overwhelmed i take an hour out to just look after me cos if am not 100% then the job is not done 100%
maybe just having 1 hour a day jus relaxing by having some "me time" tell the family you dont want to be distrubed for 1 hour and you can do whatever you want in that hour..... sleep..... have a relaxing scented bath (lavender is yummy) anything
taking some vit B, C , folic acid might help ( but this can be found in your food so eating properly also helps and pls consult your doc before you go OTT wit the vitamins)
when you return hopefuly you would feel a bit more relaxed from the stressess of the working day and you will be more "chilled" and relaxed and unlikely to vent out on the people you love.... but seriously you need to relax.... take it easy

It could just be your horones. Relax in a bubble bath, find a hot herbal drink that you like, go for a walk, read a book, there are lots of things to do. Just when you feel frustrated stop and take a deep breath and do something to get away from him for a few mins. Once you calm down then you will feel better. Also let him know that your hormones are out of control and for him to just be a little more patient with you and try to not casue you stress.

Try to remove things in your life that cause stress. If your family is stressing you out, talk to them and work out a plan that everyone can be happy with. Unfortunately it doesn't matter where you work, work is going to stress you out, you need to use your imagination at work to help you get through the day! THE BEST DR. I EVER HAD TOLD ME TO MAKE A LIST OF EVERYTHING I HAD TO DO FOR THE DAY AND THEN ONLY DO HALF OF IT. THIS IS VERY EFFECTIVE!!!!

As has been said before, sex, exercise, meditation, etc. These things release certain chemicals in your body that causes you to relax. Deep breathing exercises work for me as well. Those are pretty easy to look up on the web. You can look up stress and relaxation training (these are the things that a psychologist would get you to do).

eating sleeping well, exercise are all good things. if your stress gets out of hand , seeing a therapist may help. find out something you really like, that is enjoyable, relaxing and do that several times a week. not thinking about your daily stressors and problems is a good way to give your mind a rest.

Get away from familiar territory.
That is , try doing things that fun and different from what you are used to.
Refused to accept stress. It starts as an attitude before getting into you.

your doctor should be able to perscribe you with an anti-depressant if you think you really have anxiety. xanex i believe is good for panic attacks, but ask your doctor if they would reccomend anything.
you said exercise doesn't help too much...i'm a big fan of yoga to relax myself if you haven't tried it.
little things, like a warm bath, taking a nap, a good walk, anything that calms you down.

Always include in your busy schedule some time for yourself. Even if it is just an hour a week. During that time, don't spend it doing anything you are obligated to do, only something that you really want to do.
