the Pope to comment of affairs of sexual nature (sex, abortion, homosexuality)? If he doesn't play the game why should he make the rules? Surely, if he is really a virgin, he knows nothing regarding this matter and is not qualified to comment!

The Pope should shut up.

In fact, I don't find there is even a need for the existence of a Pope... He should mind his own goddamn business.

Morality is based on God, presumably the Pope has a deeper understanding of the divine and the heart of God then say most of us (kind of like a mechanic knows more about cars then the average joe)... so yes, I think he is qualified to talk about sex, abortion and homosexuality. He doesn't do it to exhert athority, but rather to present us with truths... of-course for those who have been in the shadows for a while comments of truth (light) might be painful to bare. We are each called to investigate any truth we consider accepting, not necessaritly belive it because the Pope has said so but because what he sais is morally true! Naturally if someone is without a moral compass, foolishness can seem wise... the only cure to that is a humble heart, theological education and a willingness to learn.

He doesn't make the rules. Just as it is okay for you to post this question here, so does the Pope have the right to comment on certain affairs that he thinks needs attention, just as i am entitled to my own opinion,...

Personally, i think sex is good and sacred and must be done with God's blessing, abortion is murder and homosexuality is not altogether bad as how most perceived them to be [it's a case to case thing].

It is, because he's .. the Pope.

I don't know. I'm Christian and I think if you're going to have sex, you might as well use a condom. There's a little thing called HIV that you might just catch if you're not too careful.

Without personal experience, we can't make judgement, huh? That sounds like a great idea. Although you've never went on a killing spree, you've probably more than said your piece on Columbine, correct? You don't have to participate in sin to know it's bad--just watch the effects of it on others and the world.

That's why people don't listen to him. Kind of like Jerry Springer.
