A young man was wandering, lost, in a forest when he came upon a small house. Knocking on the door he was greeted by an ancient Chinese man with a long, gray beard. "I'm lost," said the man. "Can you put me up for the night?"

"Certainly," the Chinese man said, "but on one condition. If you so much as lay a finger on my daughter I will inflict upon you the three worst Chinese tortures known to man."

"OK," said the man, thinking that the daughter must be pretty old as well, and entered the house. Before dinner the daughter came down the stairs. She was young, beautiful and had a fantastic figure. She was obviously attracted to the young man as she couldn't keep her eyes off him during the meal. Remembering the old man's warning he ignored her and went up to bed alone. But during the night he could bear it no longer and snuck into her room for a night of passion. He
was careful to keep everything quiet so the old man wouldn't hear and, near dawn, he crept back to his room, exhausted but happy.

He woke to feel a pressure on his chest. Opening his eyes he saw a large rock on his chest with a note on it that read, "Chinese Torture 1: Large rock on chest." "Well, that's pretty crappy," he thought. "If that's the best the old man
can do then I don't have much to worry about." He picked the boulder up, walked over to the window and threw the boulder out. As he did so he noticed another note on it that read "Chinese Torture 2: Rock tied to left testicle." In a panic he glanced down and saw the line that was already getting close to taut. Figuring that a few broken bones was better than castration, he jumped out of the window after the boulder. As he plummeted downward he saw a large sign on the ground that read, "Chinese Torture 3: Right testicle tied to bedpost."

We have an on going law suit that is on a Non-Contingency basis. We have paid out over $8,000.00 over 5 years. Can the attorney get himself dismissed from the case for lack of funds? Lending legal companies won't fund unless on a contingency basis with the firm. One lending company told us that they thought the Defendants weren't viable if collection became necessary yet, one Defendant has offices throughout Canada and the U.S. The other Defendant has offices throughout the U.S. and Europe. We have an Affidavit stating that we could have done in the 8 digit figure in revenue which we lost due to the Defendant's actions. We have Libel, Breach of Contract and various torts. Discovery and Depositions have been completed. Now into the Damage phase but the expert needs a $5,000.00 retainer. The Defendants motion to dismiss has been denied. Now the attorney needs funds to continue and the "well-is-dry". Can he get dismissed..?

or didn't get enough, or at a high interest rate? Clinton tried to prevent the student loan industry scandal that has screwed thousands of students, but Bush came in and killed the fix. Thanks again Republicans!

Warnings On Student Lenders Unheeded

The Bush administration killed a proposal to clamp down on the student loan industry six years ago following allegations that companies sought to shower universities with financial favors to help generate business, according to documents and interviews with government officials.

The proposed policy, which Education Department officials drafted near the end of the Clinton presidency and circulated at the start of the Bush administration, represented an early, significant but ultimately abortive government response to a problem that this year has grown into a major controversy.

I have a large stomach and I'm trying to gain a flat one and at the same time work out to gain muscle. I'm thinking of getting Cytogainer as a protein drink, I heard it works great but there are a lot of calories...will drinking protein drinks three times a day contribute to more fat, especially in the abs? Or should I get some weight loss drink...but then again wouldn't that not help in the gaining muscle workout?

My sister is a high school senior(lives in NJ). She is wondering if she should apply to her reach schools. She's very smart(in the gifted program), currently taking 5 AP courses(has ~ an A- average in all of them), SAT score of 1410, overall GPA of 3.9. Her class ranking isn't the best, since she goes to a rather competitive small school(85 students in her class), so she's not in the top 10% but she is in the top 12%.

The thing is, my parents are discouraging her because they're afraid that she won't get in and will just be wasting money on app fees, or that she'll get in but have no scholarships or grants given to her. They also claim that she doesn't have a "chance" if she didn't do sports in high school.

What do you think? Does she have a chance? Should she apply, or continue to look at "safety schools"?

My sister (not the one with the tonsils, the other one) called me..

First words out of her mouth were "Don't you ever wish you had one of those really awesome best friends you see on television that you can call and complain to so you don't always have to call your sisters?"

I said "I do have one of those. I wish you did, though.."

For a mom that loves you no matter what you had put her through when you were younger.. and a mom that has unconditionally loved you through some of the worst trials, and still been the shoulder to cry on? (Im an ocean away, so a gift or anyone with ideas would be appreciated) Flowers and chocolates are nice, as will be the traditional phone call, but is there anything else?

I have heard this is normal, but does it actually do any damage to the engine? Also, why is there the same amount of oil loss whether the oil is synthetic or "dino"?

And finally, why is there oil loss at all when there's no leaks?

Some people blame black people or Muslims for crime..but I don't think that is fair because I have many friends from those groups..and they are nice people. I don't think people are different because of their colour...

But all the worst criminal in this world have one thing in common.. HITLER, POL POT, OSAMA, STALIN..There are ALL MEN.
Even on the domestic fron most crinimals are man..All the murderers and rapists are men too.

So shouldn't something be done about this????
