if it is a 7.5tonne truck you need a tachograph in and the basic rules are max 9 hours driving spread over 13 hours can be extended to 10 hours driving twice a week you can only drive a max of 4.5 hours without a break of 45mins you can split your break in sections but one must be 30 mins and one 15 mins you cant drive more than 90 hours every two week and you must take a daily rest of 11 hours every day this can be reduced but must be paid back on weekly rests this is where it starts to get complicated so i suggest you visit vosa website for detailed info

my hubby is a lorry driver u can drive for 9 hours a day with breaks in between there is so many things of rules if i keeped them on my comp i would of e-mailed u them sorry


u can only work for 15 hours aday ect

A 7.5 is not classed has a HGV and does not need to have a taco so you are not restricted to driving hours

7.5cwt (hundredweight) is only 840lbs or 381kg, which is lighter than most cars.
