You could sell it or give it away. If you want to destroy it, get safety glasses and a hammer, cover as much exposed skin as possible and just smash it.
Personally, I would give it to someone who might appreciate it. Recycle rather than add more rubbish. Or, if you don't know anyone, find a second hand store or a thrift store and give it to them to sell. Many thrift stores sell things for charitable purposes and need a variety of things to help them make more money.

Put into a place with a lot of people coming through with a sign: free. Somebody will take it.
Otherwise glas bin of recycling should be appropriate.
...reduce, reuse, recycle....
