When I was about 8-10 yrs my younger brother and i were waiting for the youth club to open when a man asked me if I could help him carry a trunk upstairs. AT the time it never seemed odd to me that a grown man would try to enlist the help of an 8 year old girl, and I was a brownie at the time, so I was eager to help!! lol

Anyway, i began carrying the trunk upstairs and after each flight the man started to hug me. Then he told my brother to wait downstairs and at this point i began to feel very uncomfortable. Eventually I made some excuse about my dinner getting cold and I fled.

Everytime i think about that incident return to that time, i feel like a scared helpless 8 year old. I have a daughter now and fear for her safety. Notice that the man did not use anything obvious like sweets or toys to lure me, but prayed on my conscience and good nature.

Has everyone had close encounters with dodgy people in their childhood? I hope this question does not offend anyone.

How do we know? Except holy books such as Quran, Bible, Torah, and Zaboor?
I just want to know considering that we are called Adam (pbuh) and Eve (pbuh) 's children.

for a space ship, wouldn't the time it takes to get there be halved with every doubling of top speed meaning that to get there in 200,000 years it would have to be doubled once, and 100,000 doubled again, and so forth until it could be reached in 100 years or less. How many times would the top speed need to be doubled to make travel to it practicle? Is some sort of program in order to do this a good idea?

i mean he is the most intelligent creature among the living beings ,then why is he the only one to come up with god to explain things which are too complex for him to understand ???
why is it so difficult for man to accept that the "feeling of his existence " is all due to the extemely complex neuron structure of our wonderful brain
why dont people believe that we have no purpose???
why can't a human brain(with all its intelligence) live with the fact that there is no life after death ,that we are like a living battery ????

(need more ans)

Do you think it's God's fault for transgender children born that way and growing up thinking and REALLY feeling like they are the opposite sex than which they were born? Or do you believe it's the fallen creation's fault? Last but not leat, how would you deal with it, as a Christian?

My fiancée was working at a hospital as front window person. She wanted to be a administrative assistant. There were no openings at the hospital where she was working, so she found a job on the outside. After about 2 months she was fired from the new job. There was a period of about 6 months before she landed a second job as an administrative assistant. She was canned on that job also after about 2 months. She found a third job and the same thing happened. She never passes probation. She says she's trying hard, but all the jobs say pretty much the same thing, that she’s not catching on. She has an AS degree in computers, but none the less things are working for her. I've suggested that she try another line of work, but she is determined to be an administrative assistant. She's depressed now and tired of looking for work because she feels if she getting hired, the same thing will happen again. What can she do about this dilemma? She's driving me crazy with her depression.

My 4 year old son was diagnosed with Autism just a few months ago, and from what we know, mercury in vaccines is the cause. I have a 9 month old, and I'm worried that vaccines will do the same to him, that he will be Autistic as well.
Would this be a reason to not vaccinate?
Someone offer some good advice!

Say your at a bar and your by yourself and there are plenty of open sit around you, but for some reason someone comes in and sit "RIGHT" next to you and orders a drink (Invading your space) There should be a buffer zone among strangers in bar ( until it gets croweded)

I started developing hirsutism at puberty. My dad's side of the family, especially my dad, is really hairy. There's only one other female before me, & she is hairy, but doesn't have any facial hair that I can tell. I had a lab test done to check all sorts of hormones to rule out PCOS. I had been on birth control for about 3 months at that point. When the lab tests came back, they were all down the middle normal. Would the Pill have had that significant of an effect on the validity of the results? I have asked this question before & peolpe write back telling me about PCOS. I know what that is & just b/c it is the most common hormonal disorder, does not mean it is the most common underlying cause for hirsutism. 95% of the time it is genetic. I have always had normal periods, (sometimes heavy), not overweight, low blood pressure, etc. No other symptoms except mild acne & oily skin. If my hormones were abnormal, that would be why PCOS develops, but according to my doc, they are normal.
