Simple. Banish politics and politicians -- the parasites!
We need leaders who work for the welfare of the masses, not people who look on politics as the last resort of the unemployed.
In fact, it is owing to the latter instance that the country is going to the dogs.
The silver lining is that we can still hold the reins of power. The electorates or the silent majority can and must change the 'dinosaur-age' norms.
Each one of us has a duty to change the society for the better!

You have asked a good question that deserves a serious answer.
I personaly believe there are three main things we must do.
First we have got to stop voting along party lines. I am a liberal who usually votes Democrat. However, a corrupt Democrat or one who keeps playing the same political games everyone else plays is just as bad as a Republican with the same habits. People tell us a vote for an independant is wasted. That is nonsense. A vote for any good candidate is a good vote.
Second, we have got to talk to candidates and office holders and let them know what we expect. Even if it means taking to the streets as we did when I was young.
Third, we must start questioning power again, and we must insist the media do the same.
Don't listen to those that say there is nothing we can do about corruption. This is only true if we choose to remain silent and do nothing.

First define corruption. Second - Make this definition accepted by UN, Third - Give a timetable to implement, Fourth - Review the status.
The answer will be, it can never be acheived. In reality eradicating corruption in politics is next to impossible.

I agree with those who say that freeing the planet from political corruption would be extremely difficult if not impossible. Reducing political corruption might be possible through heavy taxation of the rich, say anyone making over $1,000,000.00 per year gets taxed 70% on income, capital gains, and estate. This probably wouldn't end corruption but it might make it less likely and less attractive. The tricky part would be getting the rich and powerful who make the tax laws to tax themselves (not to mention friends and family).

First step would be to stop funding the UN, which is the mother of all corrupt political institutions.

Hmmm......! Good Question indeed. See if we really want to free our planet from these political corruptions we must find out our views ans try kicking them out, or if it is not working we must our self be honest politicians and try to win the elections and kick them off or planet, but! be honest cause,
!!!Honesty is the best policy!!!

Why political corruption alone is targeted ? Corruption in any field is to be eradicated.
If stringent punishment with long standing pain for the giver and taker can be introduced,it can be reduced. But there should be will in the minds of everyone.

"Eliminate all human live stock"
All the problems created by human beings.
They invented "paper money" and gave it the pseudo power of purchase. Now that money developed like a very cruel devil and going on purchasing everything like, Gods, Temples, Churches, Mosques, Government, Schools, Teachers, Science, Teachers, Doctors, Politicians, Priests.......................and even religion, knowledge, family...........everything.
Total system is influenced and spurious by the power of purchase and it is unrepairable.
So, the elimination of human live stock is the only solution, otherwise this decease may spread all over the planet and spoil the water, air, forests, birds, fishes, animals ..................

In countries like India nothing can stop corruption because everyone is corrupted. Only possible thing is kidnap one-by-one and make them donate all the money to charities....So some fear comes among them and may change....

My guess would be to give up control to a non-human entity (aliens, muskrats, etc.). Political careers lead to power and power corrupts most of the people that have it...thus humans will always be corrupted when given power. For every one that wishes to do right, there are ten that will use their power to stop the one. Sucks, huh.
