I was born Jewish and I also am a plumber /gas engineer and therefore anything but cheap I can assure you.
I was once in Hyde Park and there was this Iraqi speaking in support of the late Saddam Hussein and he turned to the crowd gathered round him and held his nose and said"I smell a stinking Jew" He thought it was very funny. I felt duty bound to point out to him that he was pointing in the wrong direction and that I was over here. Its possible that generalisations about people are neither accurate nor helpful as they inhibit positive relations between people.

You said your are not racist or antisemitic by asking a question, but your question is by definition antisemitic. Your question is assuming all Jews are cheap, which is antisemitic. Just asking a question can be very hateful. If I would ask what right do purple people (a fictional group of people to illustrate my point) have to be American citizens. To a purple person that's very insulting, implying s/he is inferior that everybody else.
