No evidence. I don't think christians, muslims and jews have to believe the Adam and Eve account literally.
There was a philosopher who calculated from biblical genealogies that the creation was in 4004BC.
Early civilisations were in Middle East (Iraq and Syria), Egypt, China, and Indus valley of India. Probably some prior to 4000 BC. Certainly hunter gatherers around a long time before that.
I think that there were human precursor species and God at some stage added in 'spirits'. Possibly He called the first two spirit-infused humans 'Adam' and 'Eve'. I came to believe in the separateness of spirits and souls through my religious faith.
Although some of the earliest stuff in the bible is mythic, it starts getting spot on thematically by the time we hear of Abraham. So many of the later ideas originate in his life story. Later events are verified in part through archaelogy, as well as through inscriptions and writings.

Who was Adam? Who was Eve?
We don't know who they were - meaning we don't know what they looked like, sounded like, smelled like, or whatever. We know nothing about them.
So, all that the words Adam and Eve mean is "first man" and "first woman" basically. They are words we use to conjure up an image of the beginning of mankind. They aren't real people -- even if there were two people that started it all, those people are not remembered -- what we remember is the story we learned about those supposed people.
See what I mean?
Nothing survives of anything they might have written. The Book of Genesis was written thousands of years after Adama and Eve died. So the people who lived before the writing of Genesis could only go by what they were told by their parents and religious leaders. Eventually, a story was written down REPRESENTING the origin of mankind -- it wasn't a story MEMORIALIZING what somebody saw or experienced. It was a story that God inspired to send a message to mankind ABOUT the origin of man, and more specifically, it was a message sent so that the literate could read it and tell the illiterate (and so the story could be more easily passed from generation to generation).
Yes, it is true. No, it is not the literal recitation of events that actually happened.

there is not any idication, different than perchance interior the Koran (which does no longer practice a factor) that Adam became ever seen a prophet. Jews do no longer evaluate him a prophet, and neither do Christians. isn't it basically weird and wonderful that it wasn't till one thousand or so years after the unique tale (interior the Hebrew scriptures) became written, that Mohammed got here alongside and desperate to make Adam a prophet. basically between the various stuff Mohamed have been given incorrect interior the retelling of the memories.

MuslimUtterly,
There is no other written record of this event. We only know by Faith in GOD's WORD whether it be the Bible, Quran, Torah, or another book of your choosing. I am a Christian and believe that the Bible is GOD's Inspired WORD. Have a wonderful week.
Thanks,
Eds
EDIT:
To Jason,me, Gandalf, Eldad, Farien, and a host of others:
I am sorry that you feel this way about people. GOD's WORD is certainly worth your time to read, study, and obey. The time will come that you will wish you had!

Because the Bible says so, and if you don't believe the Bible, you are just out of luck. It takes faith too to believe even the things you read in the New York Times. I'm sure if the Times said it, or a Scientist for that mater, every one would probably believe.

Don't take the old legends seriously. There were no two "first people on earth"; evolution is a gradual process.
---
Nobody can prove any gods, much less a specific god, exist; many people will tell you their god exists but no others, but will never be able to prove it, even if they think so. Some will threaten you with eternal pain or promise eternal joy to get you to believe in their god; these are all stories, created for people who were scared long before we understood the universe. Now we have no more reason for these superstitions.

And with this question, you have opened a new path for yourself. Don't seek your answers here, you'll only come across people convinced of their views with no evidence to support it. Ask biologists, historians, archeologists, and scholars. Learn from learned people, not those who may be as blind as you on the subject.
p.s. My own studies have pointed that Adam and Eve are simply myths created to explain how people came to be and why we no longer see God/Allah/YHVH. Other religions have other stories.

There is no holy book outside the the Holy Bible and this is record enough. Adam transgressed and his sin is born into the heart of mankind with coming judgement but Christ has taken this curse and is able to redeemed all who come to him whom he makes righteous heirs and kings to his coming kingdom...

Adam and Eve were the first Jews. they were created on the eighth day . The rest of the races of the world were created on the sixth day . Therefore Adam and were NOT the first people on earth. Read Genesis chapter one it makes that fact very plain.
