MY question is has the ever been a real threat to the world,country or city where some james bond or XXX agent dude disarmed a bomb or killed an evil terrorist? Or is this something that only happens in movies? Most movies are from some kind of truth so i wonder if anything like that has ever happened. If so how come u don't hear about it?

I'm a single mother, and have a few friends, but mostly acquaintances, and have always imagined having someone give a birthday party for me (particularly a surprise), but I know it isn't going to happen. I'm not sure how it would look by giving myself a party, but I'd like to have a memory in my life. I've even thought of going to Ireland by myself..just seems a bit lonely.

Do you agree that words are only words and it's the context that makes them good or bad? Or are some words just bad, no matter what the meaning is?

I watched a George Carlin show not long ago and he was talking about that. I agree with him...words are just words. It's the underlying meaning that matters.

I am often puzzled when I read comments from non-believers (and even some believers) that seem to think that the reason a Christian does their best to follow the commandments and the teachings of Christ, is that we do it out of fear.

Believers have nothing to fear from God. He has already given us Christ...He has already given us the promise of eternal life...and he has already forgotten our sin...past, present or future. That is the promise.

A true Christian follows the teachings as one way to honor God for what he has already done, not to attempt to sway Him to do something else.

What do the rest of you believe?

My monitor will stay on when I plug in the computer for about three seconds and then it clicks off. The light on the keyboard indicates that it is asleep. So I went thru the steps of checking out each part to see if that was it but it still does the same. Finally I unplugged the monitor from the computer and just plugged in the power cord for it. It still does the same. It starts to get power and within 2-3 seconds the green light goes out and the power light turns amber indicating its off. When I hit the power button on the monitor it goes thru these same steps again but it never lights up. I don't know of any switch or reset button. What do you think? Is it shot or is there a way to reset it?

Hi, I’m moving to Dubai in the next couple of months from London. I’ve heard that there are restrictions on what kinds of media (books, dvds, etc) you can bring into Dubai. I was hoping to get a bit more guidance on exactly what is prohibited and what is not. I have a large collection of books and dvds on a variety of subjects so I need to sort out what I should ship over and what I should keep here.

If there are any reliable lists or quotas could you also please direct me towards those.

Please help. Thanks.
