My family is struggling with money. I cant always buy new clothes and I rarely do. Is it ok to shop at thrift stores? And take old clothes and jazz them up? I feel ok but when I get to school I feel like an offy.

I'm not sure how exactly to word this, but I guess I'll try.

I have grown up in the church and up until a few years ago, I attended services every Sunday. Recently though I have been struggling with my faith. I have found that no one I know bases their life on faith. People I know are religious but they are not faithful.

i have been reading some Dee Henderson books, which are faith based and I was wondering if people really lived their lives that way. Her characters' lives revolve around God and their faith in him. I have never met anyone like that and right now giving it all up to God sounds like a great idea. I just don't know how.

I'm sorry for this big spiel, but I guess my question is are there people who let God shape their lives and how do I become one of them.

Kids with ADD. Why not just keep them extremely busy?
my son was diagnosed with it. And... well... i said "no to drugs!" and i kept him extremely busy! I even quit my job and the wife went to work full time, and i just made sure he had something to do every day.Why do doctors prescribe drugs when... all it takes is a little attention?

In the news when reporting about the military, they use the word troop when talking about one person. The definition of troop, is a group of people. Why are they constantly doing this in the news? Doesn't it drive everyone else nuts? I have a friend that is thinking that when they talk about sending one thousand troops to Iraq, he thinks they are sending one thousand groups of people there. Why are they doing this? Using the word troop for one person?

I'm 20 years old with no history of Downs in my family same for my husband. The doctor wants me to get an Amnio but I don't like the risks. I really am just thinking this is a false positive. They gave me the test at about 15 weeks so I'm not sure if was the right time period. I just did a repeat of the screen test and won't get the results for a week. The doctor told me it was pointless to do.
The reason the doctor wants me to have an Amnio is because we live in Alaska and no one here can deliever a down syndrome baby so I'd have to go down south. Are the odds in my favor though? Should I even bother. I'm thinking to get a level 2 ultrasound first then see what happens. Please help! I'm so stressed.

Two years ago I got my first tattoo which became infected a few days later. I had it removed to prevent any diseases from spreading. Since then I have gotten 2 more tattoos (w/o infection!) and I plan on getting a 3rd. Is it safe for my third tattoo to go over the spot where my infected tattoo was removed?

Women's basketball team has been blown out of proportion. He was comparing the looks of the girls on each team. In which he considered them as rough and nappy headed hoes and Tennessee as pretty. They felt offended that he called them hoes, so, they reacted. It is human for one to defend themselves when being called something in which they are not especially in a negative way and Don Imus has had experience in which he had made racial slurs against Blacks.
