My family is struggling with money. I cant always buy new clothes and I rarely do. Is it ok to shop at thrift stores? And take old clothes and jazz them up? I feel ok but when I get to school I feel like an offy.

Its completely ok .. because I think when you Jazz them up to make it your style is shows your style + you express yourself at the same time .. I love to shop at Thrift Stores and my parents ALWAYS give me money and I earn it myself too! but I still LOVE to shop there and I have money so its ok .. because not EVERYONE has money .. :] don`t feel bad . Because its ok.

Totally okay. Sometimes you can find the best stuff there... just look for designer labels. One time I found two Gucci neckties and a Ralph Lauren cashmere sweater at a thrift store in my town... and I live in a small town! Just make sure you don't get something you've seen other people wear before, they might spot it on you and think you're skanky.

I get some of the coolest clothes from thrift stores and garage sales. The person you are inside is what counts, not what you have on your back!

don't let your classmates dictate what kind of clothes you should (or shouldn't) wear. if your family is on the rock financially, then the important things to be concerned about when you're buying clothes are: 1) do they fit? 2) are they in good repair? 3) are they affordable? 4) are they decent (do they prevent my boobs/balls from hanging out)?

if the answer to all of these is "Yes" then who cares what your fellow students think!
