Two years ago I got my first tattoo which became infected a few days later. I had it removed to prevent any diseases from spreading. Since then I have gotten 2 more tattoos (w/o infection!) and I plan on getting a 3rd. Is it safe for my third tattoo to go over the spot where my infected tattoo was removed?

think you would have learned the 1st time! hey if u want to put more poison in your body go for it! really think about it 1st--how old r u ? u may really regret all the tatoos later in your life. whats cool when your in your teens might not be in your 20's 30's or older. bet your kids wont care for them either, unless you want them to get tat's too!

None of the artists in my shop had an answer for if it was a good idea or not. But all 3 of them said they wouldnt touch it, nor would any professional artist.
I am wondering.. did you get the last 2 tattoos (the ones that did not get infected) at the same shop you got the tattoo which got infected?
Anywhoo.. id ask the professional tatt artists in your town about it.
I honestly dont think its a wise idea. It could agrrivate the tissue in that area which is probably already sensitive from the tattoo infection and then the removal. Good luck. Hope it all works out

It's infected, but don't worry. Put your arm in a large pile of manure for five minutes, make sure the manure is rubbed into the wound so that it plugs any openings. Let it sit for 24 hours and then poke at it with rusty nails until all the fluid that is inside leaks out (there will be a lot, but that's normal). Eventually the pain will become unbearable, once that happens you will feel motivated enough to cut your arm off at the elbow with a hacksaw, go for it. Once you've cut it off you'll need to turn on your stove to high and jam the stub onto the burner for 10 seconds (it feels like a lifetime). Put some mayo on it, wrap it in Suran wrap, and you'll be good to go in a couple of days. Of course it's infected. Go to a doctor ASAP. IT's hard to believe that some people on here actually need others to tell them to go to a Dr.

It really aggravates me when people without tattoos make the comment that you will regret them when you are in your 20's and 30's. I'm 39 and love my tattoos.
Sorry, just had to say that. In regards to your question, I wouldn't do it in that same spot. Would just make me nervous, but that's just my opinion....

I mentioned this to my tattoo artist and he strongly advises against it. Its safe, once the area is healed its healed, you know? But the tattoo wouldn't turn out the way you would want it.

If your tattoo artist agree's to do this, you should go elsewere. I don't belive any reputable artist would take the chance.

No, a reputable tatoo artist wouldn't even consider it
