really worth having?

i think it is, but at some points i feel like it was a repeat from high school just more money and more problems financially...what are your thoughts?

(i have a degree in english from the u of i in urbana champaign)

It's not just the degree, it's the whole experience of youth and learning. I would not change that for anything. Of course, in retrospect ( and if we're strictly talking about earning a very nice living) I'd say that some sort of trade or technical training is a whole lot better.

I agree.. due to students taking up part time jobs and whatnot in highschool, colleges have to lower their standards in order to accommodate the fact that they don't have time to do homework and learn as much. Thus, others are required to take classes that are below their level (i.e. college algebra). When I was in highschool, I wanted to take AP Calc BC at a local college in my senior year and they said that I would have to pass college algebra first. Where's the logic in that?

I know several people with BA degree's and making less then me and I have no degree. You don't need a degree to get a job.

I don't know, but you have a degree in English and my friend would go nuts over your grammar skills here using small i's instead of cap I's, so I am not sure are you? Have a great day out there.

sure you can get a better paying job in the job market and that is what it is all about making money!! in this world!!!
