I'm 27 and I have been with my boyfriend for two years. He is the best thing that has ever happen to be. He is wonderful, sweet and caring. But I'm confused right now and not sure what I want. He has been telling me how hard work has been at work lately. He is a nurse. As a human rights worker I have always been empathetic to suffering of any kind, my friends, internationally etc... but because my emotions have changed towards him, so has my capacity to show empathy towards his life. Its not like me. Even if my love for him has changed, by respect for him has not, so why then, do I feel restless and un interested when he talks about his stress? why can't I feel empathy towards his situation at work?. I just don't seem to care. I feel awful! just looking for insight.

Another review question I'm having trouble on...

During B(beta)-oxidation, methylene (-CH2-) groups in the fatty acid are oxidized to carbonyl (C=O) groups, yet no oxygen is consumed by the reactions of B(beta)-oxidation. How is this possible?

As a Royals fan I'm again being disappointed again this year. Again the Royals have one of the worst records so far this season. They have not been in the playoffs since they won the World Series in 1985. Looks like their gonna lose a 100 games again. Why ? Small media market ? Incompetent owners ? Bad luck ? What is the reason ?

I know your going to think that I also think sexually about other people but I've always been so completely in love and sexually satisfied with my spouse that i really never have. buy i just found out from my spouse that she constantly thinks about sexual things with other people, both guys and girls. and yes in her thoughts she does everything with them. this is not an occasional thing, it happens all the time she told me. i'm having an extremely difficult time trying to deal with this and i feel somehow that our marriage of 11 years may be over because of this. i don't want it to be. how do i deal with this and why is she doing this? she said she's done this ever since we got married!! she tried to tell me that all women do this all the time and that it is just natural. i just don't know if i can believe that. i love her. how do i deal with this. how do i forgive her. have i lost her somehow? please, please help me and tell me what you can.ican’thandleit,Ineedhelp

If so, what were they? I've heard all kinds of crazy, silly, and interesting ones over the years.

I'm a guy, and when I was little my parents called mine my "wee-wee"...rather unimaginative....but my sister's was given a much better name.....hers was her "muffin"!

As you can imagine, today whenever someone holds over a plate of pastries to me and says "Hey, wanna help me eat my muffin?" it takes all the strength I have not to burst out laughing!
