Antibiotics are not bad for the immune system. The problem is the incorrect use of antibiotics creating super-bugs.

Doctors over prescribe antibiotics to shut their patients up and get them out of their office. The patient doesn't feel the doctor has done anything and gets angry if he hasn't prescribed any pills.

Ironically, those same patients are the most irresponsible with the antibiotics that they are given and are responsible for the super-bugs.

Healthy people are not as profitable. People like a quick simple "fix". This is more of a greed thing with the industry and a compliant , instant gratification society thing, this cycle seems to feed off itself quite well.
