The bible shows that Jesus is not the “Comforter”, “Paraclete” or “Praised One” mentioned in earlier verses.
Jesus is the Jewish Messiah but he was not the "Prophet like unto Moses" who was to come from the "brethren of the Jews".
Moses replied : "And the Lord said onto me, they have well spoken that which they have spoken, I will raise them up a Prophet from among ‘their brethren’, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him." (Deuteronomy 18:17-18)
The Bible refers to the Ismaelites (Arabs) as the Brethren of the Israelites (e.g. Gen. 16:12 & Gen. 25:18).
In this verse God specifically says from “their brethren” meaning that this a significant change to the usual lineage of the Prophets. The Final Prophet would com from the “brethren” of the Israelites which means the Ishmaelites in Arabia. This is why many Jewish tribes moved to Arabia to await the Final Prophet. The Quran were verses literally put in the mouth of the Prophet in the new tongue (Arabic) which was then memorized and repeatedly recited by all the companions.
-------------
Jesus said someone will be sent after him -- he will leave so the Final Prophet or “Comforter” can come.
And I will pray to the Lord, and he shall give you another [Prophet/Comforter/Spirit of Truth], that [his example] may abide with you for ever. (John 14:16-17)
The Sunnah (example of the Prophet) is kept alive by every Muslim copying the life of the Prophet Mohammed.
---------------------
"But the Comforter[Prophet/Comforter/Spirit of Truth], whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things and bring all things to your “remembrance”, whatsoever I have said unto you."—John 14:26.
The true message of Jesus, Moses and the Last Prophet is kept alive forever through the memorization and daily recitation of the Quran.
-------------------------
This Final Prophet will come as Isaiah predicted ………. From the land of Kedar (Arabia) and from the branch of Jesse (Ishmael)
“And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a branch shall grow out his roots. And the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge, and of the fear of the Lord.”--- Isaiah 11:1-2
According to Encyclopedia Biblica, however, we read: “Jesse is contracted from Ishmael”. (Cheyene , Encyclopedia Biblica under “names”)
--------------------
Isaiah tells of the Prophecies of a “Servant of God” who will come from the land of Kedar with a divine Law and he will be victorious over his enemies in battles.
He will bring a new law and message in a new tongue(language) and the villages of Kedar will sing the praises from the mountain tops.....
“Sing unto the Lord a new song , and his praise from the end of the earth…” (V.10)
“another tongue” (Isaiah 28:11)
Let the desert and its towns lift up their voice, the villages that Kedar inhabits; let the inhabitants of Sela sing for joy, let them shout from the tops of the mountains. 12 Let them give glory to the Lord, and declare his praise in the coastlands. --- (Isaiah 42:11).
Ishmael dwelt in the wilderness of “Paran”(Gen.21:21) He beget twelve sons one of whom was named “Kedar”. (Gen.25:13)

******** The reason Muslims use the bible to prove several points is because it is mentioned in the Quran that Allah sent down glad tidings of the Last Prophet to come in the Torah and Injeel (bible)
007.157 "Those who follow the messenger, the unlettered Prophet, whom they find mentioned in their own (scriptures),- in the Torah and the Injeel (Gospel);- for he commands them what is just and forbids them what is evil; he allows them as lawful what is good (and pure) and prohibits them from what is bad (and impure); He releases them from their heavy burdens and from the yokes that are upon them. So it is those who believe in him, honour him, help him, and follow the light which is sent down with him,- it is they who will prosper." (QURAN)
