In addition to rotting teeth, causing acid reflux, and being able to destroy a perfectly good piece of meat overnight, it can be used for cooking, to clean corrosion off of metal, and if you have diet coke and a mento you can create a pretty powerful oxidation reaction. Be careful with that though, you might lose an arm.
