that was a brilliant idea!!!
It is good to take all kinds of tests before getting into the physical part of the relationship!
I do not know you but......I'M SO PROUD OF YOU! Well done!

i wish my boyfriend and i had did that before we had sex; because today there are so many STD out here and most people don't know that they have them. it is always better to be safe then sorry; life is a beautiful thing to have. and you just don't know how long you will be here to enjoy it. as for me and my boyfriend the only thing that we got from each other is a baby on the way and we have being together for 3yrs now. and no STD have been given to each other.and when our kids get to the age of thinking about sex i will tell them the same thing get tested because you can't always take the word of the person that you are with they may have something and not know it. love life, the people around you and yourself do the right thing.

I think it was a very sensible & mature act on both of your parts . In todays society if a boyfreind and girlfriend get to a sexual point in their relationship both need the reassurance neither have any unknown STD that could infect the other partner.

I think it is a great idea. That way you can know what you're getting into beforehand. I also think it's a good idea to get tested on a regular basis as well. You just never know what may happen. Good question.

I think its a good idea but it can be an ackward situation. You dont want to offend your partner but you dont want to be infected with anything that they might not even know about. I suppose just be clear in the beginning so you both know.

YES, i find that both couple should get themselves tested esp. if one or the two of them were involved in sexual activities before, cause most likely they could be infected, even to they might of use an protection such as condom, they should go and get themselves tested

Of course, if both of you have been sexual active with past partners. This will give you more trust, and you wouldn't have to worry about contracting a disease. You shouldn't take this as an offense, everybody could get these kind of diseases.

Of course. That is the smart thing to do. If more people were mature and thought the way you and your girlfriend did they would not have to deal with STDs.
