The bible shows that Jesus is not the “Comforter”, “Paraclete” or “Praised One” mentioned in earlier verses.

Jesus is the Jewish Messiah but he was not the "Prophet like unto Moses" who was to come from the "brethren of the Jews".

Moses replied : "And the Lord said onto me, they have well spoken that which they have spoken, I will raise them up a Prophet from among ‘their brethren’, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him." (Deuteronomy 18:17-18)

The Bible refers to the Ismaelites (Arabs) as the Brethren of the Israelites (e.g. Gen. 16:12 & Gen. 25:18).

In this verse God specifically says from “their brethren” meaning that this a significant change to the usual lineage of the Prophets. The Final Prophet would com from the “brethren” of the Israelites which means the Ishmaelites in Arabia. This is why many Jewish tribes moved to Arabia to await the Final Prophet. The Quran were verses literally put in the mouth of the Prophet in the new tongue (Arabic) which was then memorized and repeatedly recited by all the companions.

-------------
Jesus said someone will be sent after him -- he will leave so the Final Prophet or “Comforter” can come.

And I will pray to the Lord, and he shall give you another [Prophet/Comforter/Spirit of Truth], that [his example] may abide with you for ever. (John 14:16-17)

The Sunnah (example of the Prophet) is kept alive by every Muslim copying the life of the Prophet Mohammed.
---------------------
"But the Comforter[Prophet/Comforter/Spirit of Truth], whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things and bring all things to your “remembrance”, whatsoever I have said unto you."—John 14:26.

The true message of Jesus, Moses and the Last Prophet is kept alive forever through the memorization and daily recitation of the Quran.
-------------------------
This Final Prophet will come as Isaiah predicted ………. From the land of Kedar (Arabia) and from the branch of Jesse (Ishmael)

“And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a branch shall grow out his roots. And the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge, and of the fear of the Lord.”--- Isaiah 11:1-2

According to Encyclopedia Biblica, however, we read: “Jesse is contracted from Ishmael”. (Cheyene , Encyclopedia Biblica under “names”)
--------------------
Isaiah tells of the Prophecies of a “Servant of God” who will come from the land of Kedar with a divine Law and he will be victorious over his enemies in battles.

He will bring a new law and message in a new tongue(language) and the villages of Kedar will sing the praises from the mountain tops.....

“Sing unto the Lord a new song , and his praise from the end of the earth…” (V.10)

“another tongue” (Isaiah 28:11)

Let the desert and its towns lift up their voice, the villages that Kedar inhabits; let the inhabitants of Sela sing for joy, let them shout from the tops of the mountains. 12 Let them give glory to the Lord, and declare his praise in the coastlands. --- (Isaiah 42:11).

Ishmael dwelt in the wilderness of “Paran”(Gen.21:21) He beget twelve sons one of whom was named “Kedar”. (Gen.25:13)
------------------
******** The reason Muslims use the bible to prove several points is because it is mentioned in the Quran that Allah sent down glad tidings of the Last Prophet to come in the Torah and Injeel (bible)

007.157 "Those who follow the messenger, the unlettered Prophet, whom they find mentioned in their own (scriptures),- in the Torah and the Injeel (Gospel);- for he commands them what is just and forbids them what is evil; he allows them as lawful what is good (and pure) and prohibits them from what is bad (and impure); He releases them from their heavy burdens and from the yokes that are upon them. So it is those who believe in him, honour him, help him, and follow the light which is sent down with him,- it is they who will prosper." (QURAN)

They beleive 'Comforter' is Holy Spirit? LOL

Thanks for posting this, I agree completely, Jesus (pbuh) was clearly speaking about Muhammed (pbuh)

The "Comforter" is the Holy Spirit, not Muhammad. Again Muhammad is NOT mentioned in the Holy Word of God. One must realize that the Quran is only about 700 years old. The Comforter (the Holy Spirit) came along way before that, The Holy Spirit has always been just as Jesus and God have always been. The Torah is over 3,300 years old, the New Testament is 2,006 years old

For those of you who say it is the Holy Spirit who will come after Jesus: I asked this Question in another question and no one answered me so I will ask it again.

Luke 1:15 For he shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mothers womb.

Luke 1:41 And it came to pass, that, when Elizabeth heard the salutationof Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost.

Luke 1:67 And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Ghost...

Luke 2:25-26 And behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just a devout, waitinf for the consolation of Isreal: and the Holy Ghost was upon him.
And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death, before he had seen Jesus Christ.

All of these scriptures were written many years before Jesus said this:

John 15:26-27 "When the Counselor comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father, he will testify about me. And you also must testify, for you have been with me from the beginning

Why would God have sent someone who obviously was already here?

Oh and the Quran was revealed 1,400 years ago not 700.

THE COMFORTER IS THE HOLY SPIRIT AND EXPLAINED WITHIN THIS ANSWER-MOHAMED NEVER WAS THE HOLY SPIRIT

YOU HAVE AS I DID CHOSEN TO REJECT THE TRUTH-SO ONE DAY UNLESS YOU CHANGE LIKE I DID YOU WILL BE IN HELL GNASHING TEETH WEEPING FOREVER as Jesus explains in Revelation 1:1 3:19&20 and chapters 19-22 along with saying if you add to my words you will have plagues-maybe even Shiites blowing up Sunnis mosques since 2006 the golden mosque and dragging each others leaders out into the street and murdering them, along with those who reject Jesus words to love your enemies-let alone kill the infadels by muslim terrorists.

YOU SAY YOU BELIEVE JESUS but u dont-you say that the HOLY SPIRIT who is the promised comforter John chapters 12&14 -is not the Holy Spirit that we recieve when we pray and let Jesus into our heart to forgive our sins repenting and be born again with Jesus now our best friend John chapter 3 & 10 also.

You hold to a man that would be in prison today -when Jesus said one man for one woman-Mohamed chose a 9 year old little girl to join against Jesus teachings with his other wives when he was 40.

Jesus is my savior Messiah as Isaiah promised and best friend

Isaiah 9:6 "Unto us a child is born a Son is given, and he will be almighty God and the prince of peace."\

I have Jesus in my heart-prayin for you too

well Nothing says it any better than the Holy Bible..

Gal 4:22 For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman.
Gal 4:23 But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise.
Gal 4:28 Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise.
Gal 4:29 But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now.
Gal 4:30 Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman.

The Paraclete is not the Holy Spirit. Read this:

Periqlytos (Paraclete) means Ahmad. Read this:

Peace.

Added in view of answer above. The word Allah is Arabic for God, hence why Arab Christians, besides Muslims, also call God Allah because it is simply the arabic word for God.

Moon has nothing whatsoever to do with it.

Peace.

The Paraclete, Comforter is the third person of the Trinity and was received by the Church at Pentecost. Muhammad was a false prohet prophesied in Scriptures who got his instructions from an angel of the dark just as he suspected before his wife convinced him otherwise.

Give up your pathetic interpretation. It was the Holy Spirit. He even calls Him by name. It has nothing to do with an Arab man who calls people to worship the Moon God Allah.

yes what you have told is the great truth

Deuteronomy 18:18 “I (God) will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee (Moses), and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.”

Many Christians believe this prophecy foretold by Moses to be in regards to Jesus. Indeed Jesus was foretold in the Old Testament, but as will be clear, this prophecy does not befit him, but rather is more deserving of Muhammad, may God praise him. Moses foretold the following

Nonsense.
The Comforter is the Holy Spirit, poured out on the disciples on the Day of Pentecost:

"But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you."

John 14:26

Jesus is God's final revelation:

"God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;"

Hebrews1:1-2
