I mean, really. Do any of you know of any historical evidence to show that KJV is more accurate than any other translation? Seems to me that in the last 400 years, maybe we've learned a little more and have a better grasp on the ancient languages then we did back in the 1600's when the KJ was originally translated.

A doctor has applied for a patent on new technology involving use of advanced computers to create a new type of organism. One of the goals of his research is to genetically improve these organisms for use in human organ growth and transplant. The doctor says that if he is not granted a patent, he intends to continue his work either in the United States or overseas. My question is should this activity be a violation of the law, a deviant act or none of the above? Why do you think that? Should developers of new technology be required to have their innovations screened before they are developed? I need opinions please... Thanks

My 'so-called' best friend of 15+ yrs has been acting really odd lately. When I try to talk to her, she comes off as everything is fine and there is nothing wrong. Even when she hurts me, she acts like she did nothing wrong and expects me to be ok. She knows what she is doing, I have been friends with this girl for almost over 15 yrs, I am not reading into things.....or am I?

It all started about 2 months or so ago....my fiance and I finally set a wedding date....and she was the 1st person I called. Right off the bat she started telling me what she will or will not wear, that absolutely no-one will touch her hair/makeup...that she would cut off all her hair, the shoes, and everything else! I just sat there and was like....1st- I thought this was MY wedding...2nd-are you kidding me....it is too early to deal with this crap and she knows, or should know already, that I wouldn't let her stand by me as my matron of honor looking like a clown!.....story continues below.

The object falls on one edge of the vertical tubular column. What I wish to know is what is the mechanics of the failure and what forces are involved. Does the column fail because of a compressive force causing brittleness or that the forces involved exceed the tensile strength.

How can the impact force be calculated and where can I find information about the limiting forces for failure of the materiel of the column in such a situation. Please note I work in the metric system.

I was wondering, my husband goes out after work while I am at work with people to get free pizza and half price beer. He goes out every wednesday and sometimes it is hard to get him up in the morning. Also he has started going out on the weekend too and we have the same problem. Is this excessive? I only ask because I'm wondering if this is ok since we have been having marital problems...is it fair for me to at least get the weekend together to work on things? His single friends keep asking him and he just goes cause he doesn't want to be at home. Help me!!

What do people mean when they say 'i don't want someone with baggage'?
(and not suitcases etc)
This is aimed more at people over 35 who find themselves single for whatever reason.
Assuming that you have not been living in a void, most people of that age or older have some form of baggage.
Eg, there are two people you like exactly the same, one is a single parent the other isn't . You choose the one with kids, although you have told the one without that you don't want baggage. (taking into consideration that these people are "normal")
I really need to understand what this baggage issue is!
Could you also identify if your Male or Female in your answers.

My husband has been working out of town for the past 5 weeks. Normally he comes home on the weekend but chose to go to Nascar this past weekend rather than come home. He doesnt always answer my calls so I checked his voice mail one day. There was a message from a girl from his past on there talking about meeting up. She lives south of where he is. (I am north) If he can make plans to meet up with her I figure he can come home to be with me and our 3 kids. He also lied to my 11 year old and told her that he put money in my account and he did not. We have been married for 13 years and its been a pretty rocky marriage. What would you do in my situation? Oh yeah... he is a control freak and likes to turn things around on me so they apear to be my fault.
In the past he has had problems with drugs and made it so that we ended up homeless. I am not willing to go through that again. I don't have a support group that I belong to and really dont have many friends nearby.

My sister-in-law allows her 8 yr old son to walk from school to her in law's house and stay there alone for 2 or more hours before his step grandma comes home from work. This uspets and angers me Very Much! Am I over reacting? I have 2 kids and I would NEVER leave either of them alone. Should I step in for his safety..........I think that CPS could even step in, but Im not sure???? Im torn..........please help!

For instance should a christian allow a doctor to administer tPA to a loved one who has had a stroke even though there is a small chance that it will cause a brain hemorage and the loved one might die? This drug must be administred within three hours of the stroke so it has to be a quick decision.

A week ago, when asked to choose where to give birth, I opted for my local birth center. However, I have since then discovered that women get sent home on the same day, as there are no facilities to accomodate them any longer. As a first time mum, this worries me.
