An Atheist will believe in the "God of Science" to supposedly justify their beliefs. They believe that life is just an accident. I don't see how they're comfortable believing in that when we die, we cease to exist forever....no memories...no feelings...nothing.
I think a person becomes an Atheist because of the corruption of present day religions that have not helped to heal humanity nor helped to bring a more civilized society. Also with all the miseries that the human race has endured, it's no wonder why some people stop believing in a compassionate God. Science, though good for many things, has not helped the situation much with pushing the agenda that we basically came from some primordial soup. Hence, with all this....an Atheist is born.
The good thing is that 95% of the world believes in some deity, mostly due to upbringing, but also for the desire that there must be something more than just living and dying then nothing. If Atheism is true, than what's the point of life and living? Why should humanity live when most of the people are in abject misery? Why not just kill off the disabled, the poor, etc. being that they use up resources that could be put to better use. In fact, if the entire planet dies, would the universe miss us?
Seems to me that there is more to life than just living. To all you Atheists out there, think about this.

You can't prove God exists, neither can you prove His existence is impossible. So it all comes down to belief. People believe things based upon their perceptions of reality.
So when the atheist demands that God does not exist, it's a very ignorant and arrogant thing to say. If someone says that "there is a needle in a haystack," but I personally don't see it, all I can say for sure is that there may be a needle in there but I don't know it cause I don't see it. I cannot say for certain "there is no needle. "
Atheists are so stupid insisting that there is no God by the same flawed logic. Just because they don't see something or realize some facet of reality, then somehow that is proof for them that it doesn't exist. It's just a convenient belief to support their agenda.

I will show you.
He is defined in the bible as omnipotent, omniscient, omnibenevolent, omnipresent, etc. If you can show that these qualities cannot exist in the same being, then that being cannot exist. All of the proofs are doing just that. I'll give you some examples....
1) God is supposed to omniscient. That means that he knows what he will do in the future. That means that he can't decide to do something other than what he knows he will do, and is therefore not omnipotent. He doesn't exist.
2) God is supoposed to be omnipotent. That means he can change his mind. If he can change his mind about what he can do, he was wrong before when he "knew" what he would do. He does not exist.
3) God is supposed to be unchanging. Thinking requires change. God is shown in the bible as thinking and so must change. He doesn't exist.
You get the idea. There are others.

Lord so&so Stanford believed that everything we see is simply an idea put there by God. Everything we do is just a reaction to the idea that god put in our brain. Every thing we feel, because of ev ery action we take....anyway, I have no idea, but if you check out http://www.philosophytalk.org/ or http://theblog.philosophytalk.org/ there are some very interesting discussions. It's pretty active.
....Oh, so if you r just an idea God put into my brain, (created after the image of God?)... how do I know your real? And how do you know that you're even real? I think that's what Descarte was trying to get at...no...that's not right.
Beats the heck out of me!! I just wish there were some one up there!!!

When the bible was written people thought the world was flat and the stars were the heavens. Now we know we're on a random planet orbiting a star that in turn orbits the center-galaxy, and galaxies are moving away from each other...all the billions of them (maybe not all, but thats not relevant)
Now, our idea of a deity, how is it the same? Where is there a place for a deity now?

A typical Theist counterattack is: "Atheists: Prove that God doesn't exist"....
So God is as logically impossible as Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy or the Invisible Pink Unicorn.....
Agnostics are Atheists without balls.

I don't think "a" god is logically impossible. Just the ones man has created.
There's just no evidence that any gods exist.

I am not an atheist, but in the case of the Abrahamic deity, he's constructed in a way by his followers that makes no sense.
Good, loves mankind, makes them imperfect for his own twisted pleasure, puts them in hell, he's everywhere but not in hell, all powerful but won't show himself to people who he knows need that to believe (as a result of the way he made them) exists because anything that exists needs a creator but nothing made him, knows all but needs you to pray to him to know what you need/want...
&c.
