"Better" can be a very subjective term. When everything goes well, 3-D seismic will provide a more complete picture. But 3-D requires a lot more data and a lot more processing. That means that the extra detail that you get from 3-D is going to cost a lot more. It also means that the process is more vulnerable to effects from poor quality data or processing errors.

I think 3 dimentional is better because you can see the entire figure.

in a game for example a 3d game would allow you to see every angle of the character apposed to 2d where you can only see 1-4 sides of the character.
