We overthrew Saddam and handed him to the Iraqis. We gave them a democracy, and saw them through successful elections. Why aren't we done? And remember, democracies rise out of chaos and civil wars...no amount of US involvment can change the fact that they will HAVE to fight to keep their democracy, as we have many times ourselves. I realize that they didn't ASK for a democracy, and may not be willing to sacrifice what it takes to have one, but isn't that their choice?

Seriously dating an awesome guy from a very abusive background, like things you read on the news abusive. He's forgiven his parents and has a relationship with them, but as we get more serious, I wonder if he's more likely to be abusive as a parent, since he knows no other way. He's pretty laid back and easygoing and a great person. Is there an increased likelihood children from abusive backgrounds repeat that cycle, or is it usually overcome?

I love Carrie Underwood's music and I think that she is a very talented artist. I truly do. But, that being said, what would have happened if a male artist would have sung that song? Think about it. "Before She Cheats", about a guy who smashes out his girlfriends windows, carves his name into her seats, flattens all of her tires, etc...
I understand that it is just a song, and a very good one at that. My question is: If the song were written by a male, would you think "psycho" or "stalker?" Be honest with yourselves and with your answer. Thanks!

Can anyone tell me if i were to mix sand with my oil paint would it stay fixed on the canvas? Also does anyone know of anyother mediums that i can use to thicken paints, other than the more expensive meduims in the Art shops. 'Terrorists' are not an organized army, which is why you can't beat them with the military, you beat them with the police. We are now fiding out, through successful thwarted terrorist attacks, by the UK and Scotland Yard, that this is the best method for finding and eliminating terrorists. Will the Bush crowd EVER get that you cannot 'surrender' when there is no army, no clear enemy? Do they STILL think that Iraqis are going to greet us in the streets as liberators?
