My son met up with a girl who he'd been crazy about for years. He paid for her divorce, and they were quite happy. She has 2 kids, a 5 year old girl and a boy going on 2. He has been very good to her, and asked her to marry him. She was quite happy about it. Then she got pregnant.
Then all of a sudden things changed. She wouldn't talk to him or cook or clean.
Then her daughter told her dad that my son slapped her in the face, and he called CPS. They investigated, and it turned out that she had lied. My son felt like a criminal in his own home, when he had done nothing wrong.
His woman had already been acting funny and wouldn't talk to him. We advised him to go home and talk to her and work it all out. When he got home, all he found was a note telling him that she was not happy. She had packed up clothes and said that she would come back for the rest of her things.
He's totally confused, and thinks maybe she was using him. Need objective feedback. I'm confused too!

It is a personal belief of mine that (outside of 'scriptures') it is impossible to make any absolute statement about God because of the nature of what God is supposed to be. If God exists then it might well be impossible to prove that existence because he is supposed to be outside the realm of existence we can perceive. The same problem appears if God doesn't exist because you cannot show something doesn't exist if by it's nature you cannot perceive it. Perhaps I am simply mistaken on the nature of God but I would like to know how Christians and atheists come to their conclusions on the existance of God. Note that this question is about GOD and not RELIGION, there is a difference.

Here's the situation:

I'm a 35 yo single mom with a Master's degree. I don't get child support, have no idea where he is and going through the state takes no less than 8 months to even get the process started. I don't qualify for unemployment because I didn't work enough last year. I don't qualify for welfare because I own my house BUT can't sell right now with the current market I'd have to come up with a lot of out-of-pocket to sell - I don't have it.

I was out of work last yr from Apr-Oct. We lived off my savings then. I landed a short-term contract in Oct which ended in Jan. I've been job-hunting but nothing certain yet. I'm not "in the red" YET but it's getting to that point.

I'm currently UNEMPLOYED w/ no health insurance, no income, no real prospects and no where to turn YET I have this money in an IRA - can't worry abt retiring when I may be homeless. Is there ANY way - special programs or anything that I can access my money and even defer paying it back once I do get a job.

Okay, so I am going on vacation Saturday. I plan on skipping over my dummy/sugar pills while on vacation because it should be that time of the month. I have never done it before. Do I just throw the dummy pills away or do I take them after my first week on the new pack is done? And if you have done this before does it work well??

I am not exactly a beginner, but I haven't ridden in a few years. I have done a couple of somewhat advanced trails several years ago. I want something that I can do pretty moderate to hard trails but also do easier bike path riding too. I'd like something that will last a decent amount of years. I am hoping to only spend no more than about $300 or so. I have been looking at Diamondback and Mongoose, although I recently have heard a lot of recommendations to Giant bikes. Advice?
