Attempted to write recovery disk set and got warning of not enough disk space. Second attempt recovery disk write was successfull but now no space left on the D drive (6.9gb filled). All other systems working properly.

You need a bigger hard file.

seriously needs a bigger hard drive (or partitions) if you only got 6.9GB to spend

XP alone uses like 15GB or something so a 20GB drive isnt cutting it anymore these days

but i suggest putting files u don't really need on a DVD or CD
so that way u save some space :)

XP DOES NOT USE 15GB
Vista does

Although it sounds like you need a larger hd I could not let that piece of mis-information slide.
