Our knowledge of science and technology has advanced exponentially over the past several hundred years. What advancements do you think we will make in the future?

Arthur C. Clarke once wrote that the technology of any sufficiently advanced culture is indistinguishable from magic. Do you think our understanding of areas such as physics, astronomy and biology will change so much that a modern scientist would be utterly unable to comprehend it all? Will future scientists look back on our understanding of basic concepts like the structure of the atom with some amusement, just as we do now with many scientists of just a few centuries ago?

Or do you think we're getting anywhere near the absolute limit of understanding?

I need help finding invertebrate animals. Thing is its for this project thing and the more common ones are all taken so I would have to do it on one thats not common. For my vertbrate animal, I'm either going to use a Bilby or a Numbat. Can anybody give me some invertebrate animals?

My mother died in December 2005 and he is living by himself. He has always been manic depressive, but never this bad.

-He has shown an increasing amount of violence towards me (getting so angry he was jumping up and down, spitting, and pulling on my scarf around my throat - about a very small issue, among many many other things)

-His vision of reality is very warped (he thinks his 45 year old sister is going to have a Messiah baby by her ex-mafia, now dead-of-diabetes boyfriend, and they have no proof she's pregnant, for just one example)

-He is obsessed with doing everything as quickly as possible, many times putting others' lives in danger. (out of character)

-He won't listen to anyone; anyone who has a difference of opinion, over things big and small, is negative. Even people he trusted before.

How do I get him to get his meds checked when he thinks he's doing the best he's ever done? How can I help this man? He is on a rushing train towards destruction of some sort!

Ok, I am 4'14 inches and weigh about 100 pounds, I want to put on more weight but my problem is everytime i try to do this, the weight just settles on my tummy and no where else!! I eat healthy, do not eat fried foods, eat lean protein and complex carbs...like lean grilled chicken breasts and cold cuts on whole wheat etc , I do weight training for 4 days a week, and walk at a moderate pace for 1 hr everyday, try and do what I might, I am not able to put on the weight in the correct places except for the stomach area!!! I am kinda upset about this and this makes me avoid stuff like cheeses and pizzas as I am scared I might put on even more weight in the bely region!! does anyone have suggestions to gain weight in a healthy area and still maintain a good figure without it all going to the belly? please help and thanks in advance.

What is the Best Subscription for Automotive Diagnostic and Repair service? I am not ASE certified, I learned how to fix cars by figuring them out myself. I am repairing a differnt car every two weeks, and It would help to have something to help. Haynes and chilton books help a little, but do not provide enought detail to dianose many problems. Alldata by autozone.com is one what others are out there, and which would be best for me? I can't afford to buy the OEM books for every car I work on? Thanks
