ive been enlisted in the navy for over a year now, and have always strived for more intellectual stimulation since ive been in.

recently i find myself in a locked rate that is manned at over 133% making it almost near impossible to advance - the option of crossrating is there, but i dont want be stuck in that for the rest of my naval career (however long it will end up being) -

and so, ive wrestled with the idea of either trying to get admission to the academy or try to get my education on my own (which is nearly impossible with field excercises and deployment) -

but needless to say - my question is - if you came in on a waiver for "experimentation with marijuana" - how much weight does that put on a decision to admit one to the academy - if my evals have been 4.0 - and my PRT is an excellent - never had an NJP - ect ect? -

i will talk to my career counselor - but i wanted to see what people could offer on here.

I see people do this all the time. 99.9% of the time they are uncalled for, but people feel the need to do this. Why? Do they think it maybe makes them look smart? LOL

Today was the last day of my school hoildays =] (2weeks long)

I'm in my last year of high school and I have very high aspirations.

I kind of went into 'chill out mode' over the hoildays. I did all my homework though.

I'm just wondering if there are suggestions of how I can get back into the work and keep my motivation levels up?

I don't remember who I heard this from but i remember that we were discussing liability of damage caused by pets or one pet killing another pet, and they told me that aperson couldn't legally own a cat in the United States because they are human indendent and thus a erson can't be sued for what a cat does and yeah if you have any info on this it would be greatly appreciated as well.

A friend left my laptop open and on the couch and I think a guitar case banged into it. I turned it on and the computer worked but the screen was dark, the outside part was not cracked but on the inside you could see where it was hit. I went and bought another laptop but now I realized my computer was about a year old, it might be worth fixing. I got a new one but i dont like it as much and two laptops are better than one!!

My questions are...(1) Is it possible for a average person that works well with computers to do themselves with the right supplies?(2) Can it be fixed? (3)Where can I go to fix it without sending it somewhere? (4) About how much would it run for glossy Sony Vaio laptop screen? ...

OK first of all a vet is out of the question I live 300mi out in the boonies it ain't gonna happen. My puppy is sick. I found him to day in town and he was very skinny. About 2 hours ago he became very lethargic and tense skinned. He is still drinking on hs own but has some serious diarrhea and is either foaming or throwing up white foamy stuff. He doesn't have that dying breath thing going on for those who know what I mean by that. A few minutes ago I walked into the bathroom where I have him 'quarintined' and he was standing up by him self and wagging his tail. Still lethargic and tense. I need to do someting about this now and There has to be something I can do for him here. Please help When I found the dog earlier today I did give him some puppy dewormer. He is also feeling well enough to pull away from me when I try to feed him now. I called my grandma and she recommended rice baby food mixed with water, which is what I've given him.

I heard that the film 300 sort of made fun of the Athenians, that they weren't brave enough like the Spartans. What do you think happened after the heroic but -obviously- unsuccessful resistance of the 300 Spartans and Leonidas in Thermopylae (Hot Gates)? The Persian invadors started to occyupy Greece, but it was the Athenians who defeated them and destroyed their army forever more in the battle of Salamis, in 480 BC, like they had done 10 years earlier in the battle of Marathon. Xerxes had put a throne up on a mountain to watch the battle, certain or his victory, but he had to watch the total destruction of his fleet by the Athenians, under the command of Themistocles, resulting in Xerxis going back to Persia in hiding and on foot! I wonder how many of the non-Greek people who watched the movie know that, please let me know.
