A man was fired for saying words in the U.S today. Obviously what he said was cruel but that was his right as an American. The KKK was never censored and we were able to ignore them and make them nothing. The times are changing when your company can now fire you for what you say. I pray for my country. And everyone who wanted this to happen, be carefull to never let a "slip of the tongue" happen. Cause you wll be next. Honesty is gone. Whats next, we root for our troops to lose a war?

Her trial just started and Nancy Grace is ready to convict her. As a former preacher's wife, I tend to wonder if he had been abusive to her and/or if he physically or sexually abused their three daughters. Preachers' wives are expected to portray perfection to the public and they have no support at all. A marriage that looks heavenly to outsiders can be a living hell behind closed doors. If Matthew Winkler was a popular preacher in the community and had at least convinced his congregation he was a good man, it will be hard for Mary Winkler to get a fair trial.

I've wanted to be a doctor for quite a while. My dad, who used to be in the navy said that if I become a doctor for the navy then the military will pay for my medical school. I just want to know what are the grades required to get a good medical job. I'm not quite sure what branch of medicine I want to learn. Also if there are any extra-curricular recomendations for medical school, that would be nice.

A question was posted about tax reform, and all the responses that got "thumbs up" suggested the flat tax, and all the responses that were rated poorly suggested raising taxes for the super rich. Do people feel this way?

Before you think the flat tax is so wonderful, consider this: if you tax everyone at the same percentage, you are actually taxing their DISPOSABLE INCOME at different percentages.

If the flat tax was 10%, and I made $12,000 a year, I would be taxed $1,200. Doesn't $1,200 seem like a lot of money to someone who is only making $12,000? Every two weeks, fifty dollars is taken out -- money that is badly needed to pay groceries, for gasoline, etc. 100% of my lost tax money would be reducing what I could spend on life expenses, not luxuries.

However, if I made $120,000,000 ($120 million a year), I would lose $12,000,000 in taxes. How much of that twelve million will be going to pay groceries or fill a gas tank? Probably none. It would all be vacation/luxury money.
